Nah. Way too much publicity and too many solid people working on it. I got a little inside on the construction side. They are lining up to be part of this project. My bet is that this whole thing is a pipe dream.

Not sure where you are getting your info? Not enough deep pockets. Nobody that they've mentioned has the kind of cash needed to buy an MLB team.

There is plenty of money and the financing has already been established. They can't even ask for the league to consider the city without an ownership group in place and financing available. That statement is unfounded and absolutely untrue. The only question is who wants to come along for the ride. It's always done that way.
The article is old, and also the WS just ended like 2 hours ago lol.
Provide a link to where financing has already been established please. I do not believe that for a minute.

You can't even apply for a team with MLB without financing in place without getting laughed out of the room. But because you seem skeptical i figure i will provide a link to a story. Now understand.... There are a bunch of links and stories that confirm what i am saying but this one is from Forbes. I chose Forbes because you will undoubtedly say any link from O-Live is "Fake News". Even though they have run a number of them and even this thread is on a Canzano story. Now understand not only are we talking Russel Wilson and Ciara but also Craig Cheek who is NIKE. If you think for a second NIKE cannot get the financing to do this then you are truly delusional. The money is there and the site is available. Now it is up to MLB to make the decision. That decision has been made as i understand and the Diamond Project is in the running and could be the one they have chosen. No I am not saying it's going to happen. What i am saying is there will be an announcement soon. I am hoping for a number of reasons that they choose Portland. Work being a major one of those reasons. My local will work as many as 200-300 men to build this stadium. It will help the area greatly. The economy is sound right now and in my opinion the time is right.Provide a link to where financing has already been established please. I do not believe that for a minute.
North West is what Kenny is looking at. But we also did numbers on South East so that deliveries can be made. Northwest has more rail options. It also has easy access to fabrication. Right now Fought is too busy with the Airport fabrication. This will have to be fabricated in Vancouver or elsewhere?Where do you think the site will be

It's exactly why it is named the "Diamond Project". It's a group of investors and we never know all the names. What we do know is some big names are involved and the money is there.IIRC, prior to the announcement of the PDP, there was talk about deep-pocketed Asian investors spearheading the MLB-to-PDX effort. I imagine the actual primary funding source is someone whom we've never heard of.
If he does then why is this even a question? Unless he sells shoes for them. I literally got business owners and union managers doing research on this project. It would not be happening if there was not a chance this could be coming? Of course deals fall through. But it doesn't start unless there is a realistic chance this could happen.doesn't tlong work for nike?

He's trying to throw us off the trail with his alternative factsdoesn't tlong work for nike?

Sometimes conversation in print comes out a big harsh? Maybe he just is simply skeptical? Even working for Nike he simply may not believe it there until he sees it. It's all fair.I wasn't trying to argue against you, just pointing out I thought the story was he worked there. I might be thinking of someone else. After a while, you all start to look alike.
@tlongII is basically on record as saying that baseball will never come here. Even if it somehow happens (s)he thinks it will undoubtedly fail. There has been comments like that throughout this whole thread.Sometimes conversation in print comes out a big harsh? Maybe he just is simply skeptical? But don't ever say i look like all the rest of the people in here. That is just low man.
