I wouldn't expect any major updates until MLB states a team is actually available. The next stage isn't in PDP's control at all. All they can do is try to remain visible until a team becomes available. The city ain't gonna spend any time tackling rezoning and infrastructure and all that until a team is available. That's why I don't follow them on Facebook anymore because I don't care about their gear and signatures. Mediocre weren't you a poster at the Portland Baseball Group forum years ago? I understand your skeptisism, they've been toying with are hearts for a long ass time.

I had to unfollow them on twitter and facebook for that exact reason. Even if they are legit, they really came off as just shills for crappy merch.

Even more than that. MM is uninformed. They already have the 50K signatures. As a matter of fact they got well over 75K after they went online.

Wait, Hartford Ct was listed? That can't be a real list, that city has 122K and the 47th largest metro area. Wtf? Same with Orlando. Louisville has a much smaller metro area too.

You're right, that list was a complete joke. In the sense that it's not an actual list put out by MLB, since A: they would NEVER do that (it's including cities that have no business being on the list) and B: there's no actual proof of that list being made anywhere but in this tweet.
 
Portland has the finest stadium plan in place. Talks with the commish have been ongoing. I follow sports architecture and none of those cities have a baseball stadium plan that's as far along as Portland's. I'm not sure any of those cities have one at all. That survey is complete Gahbidge.

"We have great connectivity to MLB. All along we've told them if we get into a point where you feel like we're wasting our time, tell us," said Barrett. "They're like, no, no, no. We need you, go go go. So those are good things to know."

This statement can be taken a couple ways. Positive- They need Portland and the chance of a team is good. Negative- They need Portland because they are using it as leverage on other cities.

Either way they need Portland and they are in the discussion still which is a good thing. Not sure the riots are helping much as it stands right now though?
 
If they do get a team, I hope Mavericks or River Mavericks is considered as a name.
