He better be WAYYYY out of Denver to find cheaper housing. Plus to register his vehicle, he will go from 4 years (mine was 40.00 in Oregon), to a % of his vehicle's value for 1 years tags. If his vehicle is around 20,000 he will pay around 600.00 for 1 year's tags. My dog food was 22.00 a week there, 24+ here. Car insurance 125 there, 151, lesser coverage ,here. He's gonna get a wake up call.

how do they figure the value? he owns old cars (like late 60's old).

People like to hard on Portland for a lot of things (housing is out of control..but it's also out of control other places), but I think it's a lot of the "grass is greener" mentality.

That is so sad. Colorado is such an amazing state but there's no way to live there affordable.

It's why the Midwest is rising in population. Its the only affordable place left lol.[/QUOTE

Older cars are obviously cheaper to tag. I don't know how they figure expensive Classics though.

Mariners have been to playoffs 4 times in 43 years, and haven't been in last 20 years.
wow....I wonder whats being said on the Mariners forums, if they have them.

They have them. I have visited a few, but never participated. Being a fan is already brutal enough, I can't imagine what their boards look like.

Every time some stupid fan on twitter says they'd 'gladly trade the Blazers for the Mariners', and it's followed by 'I'm a blazers fan too!', it's like they really don't know much about the history of the Mariners.

I'd love to see Portland get MLB. The stadium plan is fantastic. But it's gonna have to be through expansion. Vegas seem to be the front runner for the A's, and who knows what the heck is going on with the Rays. The Rays have a great team that hardly draws. Florida ,a great Spring Training area, is an awful MLB location because of pathetic fan support. A new stadium didn't help the Marlins draw more fans, it probably won't be the answer in Tampa/St. Pete either. My worry is the Baseball Group led by spokesman Mike Barrett , doesn't have as much financial support as they say. Otherwise they should be ALL OVER the Rays like Vegas is with the A's. Vegas acts like their ready to break ground tomorrow. The time to Pounce is NOW!

Damn, braddah!

107 victories and the NL Pennant for the San Francisco Giants, FAMS!

It was an incredible season for what was supposed to be , basically, a band of misfits to make a squad. They played like their lives depended on it. Not a Giants fan, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings if they won it all.

They’d hate whoever the Lakers are of their league……they’d predict 150 wins a season and then blame the coach at the end of each year.

pretty much been the Giants’ MO, aside from Buster Posey, since 2010.

Is PDX still in the running for a MLB team?
Arn't there, other cities competing for the same?

Willamina in the lead, followed by Shaniko and Cave Junction.

Until a shovel hits the ground to start construction on a stadium, baseball in Portland is a pipe dream.
Yep, Build it and they will come!
There should have been one here back in the early 60's playing at the Delta Dome. Sometimes with somethings saying no, is once to many, and the opportunity slips way.

There hasn't been anyone with balls in Portland local government since Neil Goldschmitt. They'll worth with developers to construct entire neighborhoods designed for gentrification, but "sportsball" doesn't fit their bougie vision of Portland.
