Sounds like the A's to Las Vegas deal is falling apart. Rumors are the A's are looking now at Salt Lake City.
Unlikely. Most baseball stadiums tend to look east, I believeIf they can pull off a "sunset" view of the coastal range I think it could be real nice.
Wow... that seems really high to me.30-40%

Even 30% would mean a higher percentage of people from Vancouver go to games than those from Portland.
There are a good amount of season ticket holders here in Vancouver but would be shocked if the percentage was anywhere around 30-40%. Portland population is multiple times higher and surrounded by many more affluent areas. Not for sure if the Remix are any indication, but they have not drawn very well. It is tougher for friends that have to commute from the Hillsboro/Beaverton area but a very convenient drive for me here across the bridge. Hillsboro Hops and Eugene Emeralds are only drawing 2k as well so the low numbers may be just to it being minor league.
I do not like driving on 217 during busy times but would probably still make the trip occasionally if MLB were at the Red Tail location. It is not too far from where the Timbers/Thorns play and I have no problem going to 10-15 games a year.
Sounds like EugeneNo its two bike paths in either direction and removing a lane of traffic on each side. Wait is this Portland or not?
Sounds like Eugene
Anyone else think they're going to buy up the land, wait a few years, say "aww shucks we couldn't make it work" and then sell the land to a developer for a profit?
Maybe even make some money off some T-shirts, hats and stickers along the way?Anyone else think they're going to buy up the land, wait a few years, say "aww shucks we couldn't make it work" and then sell the land to a developer for a profit?
I remember them talking about it like was a for sure thing back in the Delta Dome Days, 60 plus years ago.Anyone watching the MLB all star game? Hopefully we get one here someday.

Rumor is there looking at the Red Tail driving range. Plenty of space for a couple hotels where the old kingpins used to be in Cedar Hills Crossing. Not enough hotel space.

Not sure what you mean? Kingpins is still in Cedar Hills Crossing.
We'll always be used as a stalking horse after MLB BEGGED us to take the Expos and we passed.
Maybe he meant where the old beaverton bowl used to be (or whatever it was called??), off of Walker there ? It's basically an abandoned lot now.
Maybe it was Sunset lanes? Shit, it's been like 25+ years I bowled there.
Yep Sunset Lanes. I can’t see a big hotel going up there though.
