@dviss1 as you said I follow your posts. I'm not ignoring this thread I just don't have an idea on what to say.

I watched it and agreed with everything he said. What to do about it is a difficult question.

Understand?

Empathize?

Challenge the conservatives that want to take away our voting rights.

Be a voice for abolishing for profit prisons and privatised executions.

Stop giving these police the benefit of the doubt.

Understand that a system of oppression exists for your fellow citizens that are people of color.

Befriend and be an ally to a person of color...

Do understand, do empathize. Wish I had a time machine to show people of the past what they were doing.

Hate hate hate private prisons.

The police will always get the benefit of the doubt from me if their life is in danger. When the cops are criminals they need long sentences.

The problem for me with identity politics is that it is too late for that. Any system that is rigged against people of color needs to be fixed. That's fine..

But going forward we have a way larger problem in the future. The only identity we'll have to worry about is rich or poor.

It's the way they killed my unarmed friend James Perez. Look up that shooting. Cops can always say the "fear for their life".

If there wasn't video of the Laquan McDonald shooting the officer would've gotten off because he lied and said he "feared for his life". It's bullshit.

I think there is a reason they fear for their life. I would like to see what you do in some of their situations they are put in. Sure is easy to whine and complain behind a keyboard in the comfort of your own home as opposed to be in fight or flight mode. Keep pushing your narratives. They aren't based on logic, just emotions. You are the outrage culture.

I remember you talking about it. I don't like any of the shootings.

If I knew of a way to weed out every bad cop I would.

There isn't an easy solution.

How hard is it for cops to look at all people equally as human beings, regardless of the color of their skin, and treat them accordingly.

How hard is it for people to grasp that cops risk getting killed every day they are on the job?

They look at all of us as potential threats.

They profile people and they shouldn't. They're human and they do it anyway.

Then you have pure murderous scum like the one who shot the old black guy in the back when he was jogging away.

How do you know which one is which?

I got a better question:

How hard is it to hold them accountable when they mess up?

How hard is it to grasp that most of them PROBABLY have undiagnosed PTSD?

You don't think that has anything to do with why police are always scared?

It isn't undiagnosed. I just watched a bit of a documentary about how cops kill themselves and how many of them kill themselves with alcohol.

Not sure if it was on youtube or netflix. I stopped watching because it was depressing.

Executions should be public. People need to know what they voted for.
I think they are a pagan ritual.

You speak of whining and complaining and not about the post.

Call others out as well, not just me. I only do it when others break that rule. Once that happens, gloves are off.

If you think this is a thread where gloves need to come off, you're in this PARTICULAR thread for the wrong reason.

I actually think this point is right - anyone that has been in a situation where they had to "police" with real threats out there - needs to understand that there are often split second decisions that need to be made and law officers often need to prioritize their safety until they can verify what is what.

It does not mean that bigotry, hatred and continued violence even when the threat was clearly identified as a non-real one should be tolerated - but these guys have a real hard job to do and to ignore it is just wrong.

Since you brought it up, I have called others out on it including my buddy, cup, a good guy who gets emotional at times, as do we all.
However, you do it a lot. I know you don't see that and perhaps you never will but I'm going to give you that feedback.

No, I think this is what you want to make it out to be. Most of what I say is on topic and about the topic and the stupidity around a lot of threads these days. Only time I make it about the poster is when it's done to me first. I am well aware of what I say. You have problems with me as do people like cup and dviss, the same old crowd. That's fine but this whole attacking the post not the poster shit you keep accusing me of is getting old and I quite often see you not applying the same rules to others specifically for the reason you don't feel too great about me. I don't wanna hear otherwise because I am not a fucking idiot and I see what you are doing
