<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Mohammed was linked earlier to reports of the Knicks' interest in Chicago center Eddy Curry. But if the Knicks continue to pursue Toronto's Vince Carter, who went on the injured list Friday for a minimum of five games, don't be surprised if Mohammed's name comes up. The Raptors are desperate for big men to improve their rebounding, and Mohammed fits the bill. "I wouldn't doubt that," said one source who has spoken with Raptors general manager Rob Babcock.
After getting 20 points and 11 rebounds against Washington Friday night, Mohammed has averaged 16.3 points and 12.3 rebounds in the last four games. Those numbers, combined with the fact that Mohammed has only two years left on a reasonable contract worth $10.75 million, make him very appealing to potential trade partners. "If my agent doesn't call me and tell me it's serious, I don't really consider it," Mohammed said. "I can't worry about that. I'm the starting center for the New York Knicks, and I'm enjoying every second of it.</div>

What can I say? Isiah never ceases to amaze me. Nazr Mohammed has been playing great consistant basketball thus far. We can all arguably say that he is a top 5 center in the east. Mohammed is giving us a double double a night and while teams are focusing on Stephon Marbury and now Allan Houston, we can give him all the space he needs to do what has to do. He is scoring and rebounding exceptionally well. Tell me 13ppg and 9.7rpg is good so far. He is obviously our best center since we had Marcus Camby. And if he is in any sort of deal we wont get a center. I don't want any part of a Toronto deal. As for Chicago <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Keep the big, sloppy, chump away.</div> Pretty much sums up. We don't need anyone else right now. Mohammed's finally decided to play great basketball and now we are going to trade him? A trade that involves Mohammed (unless we are getting someone like Shaq) will only kill our team. He already messed around with chemistry in the KVH trade hasn't he learned his lesson? Mohammed is doing everything that you can ask for. He has been made a huge improvement from last year. He's even playing better defense with a block per game. The only good trade Isiah Thomas made was trading for Marbury. We are perfectly fine in the frontcourt. Atleast let's see how things turn out once we have our entire team. Let's see how crucial Allan's floor spreading can be, and how important Hardaway's spark and leadership can be off of the bench. I hope no trade that involves Mohammed takes place. He's playing well and it's benefitting the team. Why would he even be invloved in a trade?
