Mr. Mac back to his old tricks

I do not think this is where it is going. I think Andre will start, play 6 minutes with the starters, get out for Rudy. Come back and play most of the 2nd quarter with the 2nd unit and LMA in a fast-pace unit, and the rest of the game he will play with whatever unit seems to be working for them.

He is playing around 30 minutes per game right now. There is no reason to expect at least 12-15 of those to be as the leader of a fast-pace unit.

This ^^

I don't think we'll see an appreciable drop in Miller's minutes, I think what Nate is saying is that the reserves are in such disarray and are playing (generally) very erratically and that without a lot of guys in there that he fully trusts (Martell and Rudy) to hold onto or even grow a lead he wants a more steady hand at the tiller ...

I like Jerryd and I would love nothing more for him than to succeed here, but it was pretty clear to me that in the little dribs and drabs of PT he's gotten so far this season he's been given one task and one task only and that is to attack the rim and try to punish teams that are in the bonus. You'll notice that Jerryd has exclusively been used at the end of quarters if the game was anything but a blowout.

Do you ever scratch your head and wonder what Mac is doing?

I do.

I can tell you what he's doing; winning seven of eight games.

Did it ever occur to anyone that he may know what he's doing at this basketball thing?

How many games has he won against GOOD teams?

I love Dimitri Martin. I wish he were coach of the Blazers. Not because I dislike McMillan, just because I like Martin.

1-4 against teams over .500 Maxie.

Maybe his players win in spite of him?

Last year I think we were below .500 against teams with winning records as well.
