I have been on a "Me First and the Gimme Gimmes" and also a bit of "Richard Cheese" kick lately.

I guess I needed to enjoy some classics, but get a bit of a new sound out of them as well?

I've had Arcade Fire's "Suburbs" in heavy rotation the past couple of weeks since I picked it up, and Telefon Tel Aviv has been right there too.

Two of my favorites as well. "The Birds" on Immolate Yourself rocks my socks.

I'm still way into LCD Soundsystem's "This is Happening" and Broken Bells' Self titled has been getting a lot of airtime.

Puff a bleezy before this one.

Then we have Shawn Mullins one of my favorite song writer/story tellers out there.

Here's a song he made about his stop in Twin Rocks, Oregon.

Oregon Native, Mat Kearney. The guy is a true talent. Everything from Folk to Hip-Hop.

This is literally what I'm listening to at this exact moment in time. Right now.

This reminds me of growing up and my mom driving me places we'd be listening to Fleetwood Mac[video=youtube;C0jMHu9jfNk]

OK Go with another great video....

Beautiful slack-key player/composer I stumbled across when planning my Hawaii trip a couple years ago:

Rogue Wave. Their 2010 album is a gem, IMO. A couple of songs:

I know its kinda not new coming from me... but I have been listening to BSSM a lot lately by the Chili Peppers. I have never heard such a "Manly" "Machismo filled" album in my life.

I just got through a BSSM phase...that's why the name change.

In a rap mood lately ... Royce da 5'9

thats another beautiful thing about the Chili's you can literally go through so many different musical phases with them. Once I get past that I can go into a funk phase and listen to them. A more Rock phase, or a softer phase. God dammit Frusciante!

Wait for the awesomeness (as I define it) to kick in around the 15 second mark.

I saw both these commercials today for the first time.

Nike featuring The Raconteurs "Salute Your Solution"- Jack White

Converse featuring The White Stripes "Hello Operator" - Jack White

The White Stripes were pretty amazing at one point.

I need to listen to them again.
