I've got the Beatles White Album. My wife has their first album still unwrapped along with numerous Beatle albums.
I believe one of them died in a car wreck at the peak of their career and the other actually joined the Beach Boys if I'm not mistakenI loved that song when it came out. Kind of in the same vein as the Beach Boys.
Don and Phil Everly.I believe one of them died in a car wreck at the peak of their career and the other actually joined the Beach Boys if I'm not mistaken
Jan Berry had a car accident leaving him in a coma for 3 months...was partially paralyzed and had brain injury....didn't kill him but he died in the late 70s from a seizure related to his accident.....I know the Everly Brothers music well....they tour today regardless of politics...I have a live album of theirs and although much older, they can still singDon and Phil Everly.
One of them was in a car wreck but did not die. I remember that from when it happened.
Phil passed away of lung disease five years ago. Don is still alive.
Don and Phil had opposite political leanings. With Phil's death, Don now felt he could now speak out about his politics which he never did before out of respect for his slightly younger brother.

1966–68: Berry's car wreck[edit]
On April 12, 1966, Berry received severe head injuries in an automobile accident on Whittier Drive, just a short distance from Dead Man's Curve in Beverly Hills, California, two years after the song had become a hit. He was on his way to a business meeting when he crashed his Corvette into a parked truck on Whittier Drive, near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard, in Beverly Hills. He also had separated from his girlfriend of seven years, singer-artist Jill Gibson, later a member of the Mamas & the Papas for a short time, who also had co-written several songs with him. Berry was in a coma for more than two months; he awoke on the morning of June 16, 1966.
Berry recovered from brain damage and partial paralysis. He had minimal use of his right arm, and had to learn to write with his left hand and had to learn to walk again. Torrence stood by his partner, maintaining their presence in the music industry, and keeping open the possibility that they would perform together again.[45]
This was inspiration for their hit dead man's curve
