Feels like the end of the world
But it's only the beginning of it all
Forget the things that you've heard
Been a survivor since I began to crawl

I'm falling down but I'm not out
The devils at my door

I don't give in, I don't give up
I won't ever let it break me
I'm on fire, I'm a fighter
I'll forever be the last one standing
Black vultures circling the sky
Pick at the pieces
Scavengers wait for me to die
But I'm not defeated.

This is one people need to hear...
Garfunkel once summed up the song's meaning as "the inability of people to communicate with each other, not particularly internationally but especially emotionally, so what you see around you are people unable to love each other."

By the way the Black man in the white jacket has a solo at 1:28 maybe the most beautiful, powerful voice I have ever heard he's incredible.

Another beautiful version of this was done by this Metal band.

Dire Straits - Money For Nothing

Well, it makes quite a bit of sense if you want to make a video about the apocalypse to shoot it in California!

Death valley makes more sense for the apocalypse , I guess - but I can understand the Salton Sea for a radioactive look-a-like visual effect (even tho the reason it looks like that is actually because of agriculture).

FWIW - If you ever have a chance to visit the Salton Sea, it is well worth it. It certainly is an amazing place.

I was just joking (if that wasn't obvious).
I haven't ever been there. It looks super awesome on google maps!

I knew that, no worries.

Some images from a recent trip to Bombay Beach. What the images can not capture is the stench of the dead fish and the agricultural waste that collects in that lake.

A little soap, water and paint and that boat's ready for some serious fishing on the Salton sea. I'd go out with a bucket of herring and another bucket full of ice and some ice cold, cold Coors, maybe some unfiltered Camels.
