Haha..all the rookie mistakes.-Stay away from outer glow, but if you do use it, make it white only-Try to stay away from the textures/patterns already in photoshop, get some brushes-Funky fonts that you think look cool almost never look good on graphics, try to stay away from them.But still, this is great for a first.
