Try to get Sessions for MLE and then try to get Lee for a sign and trade of Bayless and TO and the couple mil of cap (if needed) we have leftover.

Sessions/Blake nice combo, see how Lee works out, it could also open up other trade possibilities with one of Lee/Pryz/LMA down the road.

Miller is okay as a 2 yr stopgap, but I'd rather have a 23 yr old Sessions than Miller.

I don't think there's any way Milwaukee fails to match an MLE offer to Sessions. If they weren't even willing to go that far, they'd probably not even have extended him the qualifying offer (like they handled Villanueva).

A full 35 mil MLE deal MIL may not match as they are very high on Jennings and I doubt they want Sessions on the books for that much and that long if they prefer jennings which I think they do.

I like your idea. We simply have to take a shot at Sessions. I was pushing for the Blazers to trade for him or Conley at the deadline, but to no avail. Normally KP follows my every command and indeed even my most trivial of wishes (you can blame the Green for Von Wafer trade on me). Recently though KP just seems to do what Mr. Spock and his friends in Seattle tell him to do. Stupid mind meld.

D'Antoni as Troutlaw and Bayless' coach? I'm not seeing it.

And that is why you are not, thank God, the GM. /thread

Easy to criticize eh buddy, why don't you share your idea and out it out there?

What is everybodys love fest with David Lee? Trade Bayless and Outlaw for him while signing Miller (for the MLE WHICH WE DONT HAVE!!!)?!?! This plan is simply retarded. Yeah I said it, fuck it. Write it down, take a picture, I dont give a fuck... RETARDED. Save the cap space for a trade during the season. We have a lot of good players and we don't need to sign/trade just for the sake of making a move like a lot of people on here want to do. Miller is not the answer and neither is Lee. Better options, if needed, WILL be available at the deadline... people around here no to relax!

I'd say it was a "retarded" reply. Lee is BFA, best FA available and would be a great backup and more importantly a great trade chip down the road. He's not my first choice at all, but I think it's a good move.

Is someone in this thread calling for us to sign Miller with the MLE?

Ed O.

My bad on saying miller... He still is claiming to use the mle on sessions though... We don't need the BPA! That is this talk I am hearing of just getting a deal done to get one done... Dis you read my post? That's not what this team needs...

You have your opinion and I have mine on what "the team needs" considering what is available to work with.

What if there are no players available at the deadline that are good fits for us?

I can totally see the argument of why we should wait. Good players may be available, but that's what we heard last year too. Maybe they won't be available, and then a minor upgrade like Miller or Sessions will be gone as well.

Several factors need to be considered

1. KP does not like to make mid season deals. He said so himself in an interview with the Oregonian.

2. KP will still have to give up some talent to make a trade, which to this point he has been reluctant to do.

3. Other teams will need to want to trade with us. Some reports have surfaced that we haven't made a lot of friends.

4. A player that we want has to be available. Who's to say any will?

IMO Sessions and Lee makes us significantly better next yr and for the next several. As I said I think a Blake/Miller combo is a big improvement from Blake and Bayless/Sergio, there can be little doubt that Lee would be solid improvement. So we get better, if there are better "reasonably possible" options out there I am all for it - but are there?

Lee would be a good addition. Sessions would not. As much as people here want to discount it, 3 point shooting ability is a key component of our team's makeup. We will spread the floor and allow Aldridge, Roy, and Oden to work inside with this ability. Sessions cannot shoot the 3.

We don't have an MLE... didn't we renounce it to get our cap space?

You know I don't have any problem with going around and locking some other teams down salary cap wise. I think we should throw an offer at Kleiza, and at Odom, just to make Denver and LA sweat.

Rudy/Roy/Webs/Blake/TO and even Batum have all shown they get hit the 3, I think another penetrator and distributor like Sessions is needed.

I think it's a great idea. Ramon Sessions was my #1 free agent target this summer, it just completely blows that Pritchard hasn't made much of a play for him.

Ok, all I am saying is this idea is as bogus as that guy that called wheels at work about trading bayleyys and cunninham to new jersey for their MLE. I just don't see it happening, nor do I feel it is the right fit. If players aren't avaliable at the deadline that is fine, I am one of the ones that is actually happy with the players we have.

I would much rather have Super Nate Robinson and Marvelous Marvin Williams!!! :ghoti:
