Full service, bro. They did not have these kind of gas stations when I lived in Oregon
Going to Cali/Idaho and having to pump your own gas sucks, this is a luxury people don't know they're missing.
It creates a secondary bottleneck even if you have enough pumps.
Make it a law that grocery stores have to load your groceries. NEW JOBS, BUT JUST AS UNNECESSARY.People are acting silly about this. It specifically says "in lower population areas" and "option to".
It's not about people being lazy. It's about job loss. So what we're saying is in rural areas we are going to lose more jobs.
Not having to wait to some dude to get to my car is a luxury I prefer. It creates a secondary bottleneck even if you have enough pumps. I honestly do not miss it one bit.
"I don't even know how to pump gas, and I am a 62 year old Oregonian!"
Anyone else here find this sad and or embarrassing?
Only in Oregon!
This is why i use my card at the pump. If you prepay with cash the twinkies slim jims and cream sodas start calling your name. Not to mention those taquitos that have been on the heat rack for 17 hours.Another pro if you care about business is the customers that get out might buy some overpriced snack in the gas station...
Geez, this is great!
I hate sitting there waiting for someone to finally get around to pumping gas into my rig.
Never have that problem at my local Fred Meyer, the dude is always right out and there's barely any cars in line.
The funniest thing about the new gas law is that it's diverting everyone's attention from the tougher gun laws that just went into effect.
If you find people who get confused trying to pump their own gas they need their license revoked. Too stupid to drive.Exactly. People acting like this is gonna save time?? GTFO.
So a bunch of people, doing something they've never done, all at once, in a line, is gonna move efficiently.... That's a good Idea....
First thing I compare this to is the self-checkout stations at grocery stores. I haven't heard a whole lot of "these things eliminate cashier jobs" outcry over the past decade that these have become commonplace. If you find people who get confused trying to pump their own gas they need their license revoked. Too stupid to drive.
If there isn't a huge line, why should the business hire a guy to do something anyone should be able to do?
Make asswiping a job at restaurants.
Make everyone installing a lightbulb hire an electrician.
Make the garbage man come in my garage and push my cans out to the street.
Make the UPS driver unpack my shipments and inspect them for damage before he can leave.
All these will create jobs. So what?

Completely irritating. They have room for a spare but put a big foam spacer that holds a tiny little compressor. There are a growing generation of drivers who don't know how to change a tire on their car because some automakers don't even include a spare now.

What were those?
People who work at gas stations spend 100% of their money in the economy. The rich people who employ them do not.
