Hope it’s OG!
He seems to make the most sense, looking at their roster. He fits into the TPE, they have Trent at the 2 and Barnes at the 3 to be able to easily replace him in the starting lineup. At 6 or 7 they could be looking at Duren to cover the C spot for them.

Toronto has been engaged in talks with Portland. No other info

OG, while good, is part of their duplication problem. So many player playing out of position, and not nearly enough size. It would take Portland's Lottery pick + for OG though. Are fans okay with that?

His injury history is what scares me the most, but do think he'd be an ideal fit on the wings here.

I would probably trade the lottery pick for OG. Although taking a mediocre playoff team 3rd best forward for our best asset outside Dame sure gives me pause.

The Blazers still wouldn't have the talent to contend with Dame and OG. So it seems like we'd be stuck at best in mediocrity the next few years. The #6 is the better chance we have to add a long term difference maker. So that could move my vote towards a no.

I think it being a good trade really comes down to can the Blazers get other quality starters added to the roster along with OG in order to become a legit contender? I don't have faith in ownership and Cronin to execute that.

I’ll say it again: no more trading first rounders, especially lottery picks, for role players.

OG is an elite role player, but not a star. To me, that’s not worth a top 6 pick.

Siakam? Now that’s different. Someone who is all nba caliber.

Is OG better than the literal average NBA player? There is a very high probability a better player will be available at (say) #6 - trading the pick for Anunoby suggests a lack of faith that our FO can recognize that better player.

If you want a guy like Boucher I'd rather just get Jalen Smith in free agency who is better and can get better

Either way, it would be through free agency. I would consider either one unless a backup center is available. Boucher is probably cheaper.

One doesn't simply "just get Jalen Smith". He will probably be one of the more sought after free agents on he market this summer.

The way to get the FAs is to pay more.

So, renounce all the exceptions and bird rights and use cap space to offer more than the MLE? That seems like a lot to give up for Jalen Smith.

My bet: We will keep the pick if it's 6 or better. Lower than that we will trade the pick and a player for Anunoby.

I was speaking of FAs in general
