Nice assumption.
I can do it too.
Whatever personal gripes you have with me. keep them in PMs.

Should put you on ignore for quoting Ball clan leader.
Actually that's a good plan. Have a nice day.

LOL. "W"

This change seems consistent to me with the rest of the timing. The idea is you need 4-8 seconds just to get it up the court. If you have an offensive rebound, you have already run a play of some sort and the offense is still set up. I'm good with the change. Most of the time if an offensive rebounder kicks the ball back out the guard pounds the court for 4-8 seconds before running a play anyway.

Exactly that. You are allowed 8 second to pass halfcourt so you don’t need any of that time after an offensive rebound. 14 seconds sounds about fair.

Didn’t see a thread about this. Could really change how the game is played down the stretch.

They may need a second time keeper just for the offensive rebound resets ;)

Depends on your view of what "ill effects" are.

I don't like that you don't really get the option of running a full set if there's a kick out. It usually ends up in a worse shot or a shot against the clock.
I think I agree with you here, but I also think at least a play could be run in 14 seconds. Speaking strictly Blazers here, but Dame doesn’t usually start the offense until 14-15 seconds are on the clock anyways. With this change, you probably can’t run a full offensive set in the sense of multiple options. So say Ed gets a rebound passes it out to a guard the shot clock probably is down to 8-9 before the guard is able to set up a new play. Now it’s a little arbitrary, but If they want it to be less than 24 seconds, I’d be more ok with it, if it was say reset to 18 seconds.

@#$% the season can't come soon enough. Caught myself watching WNBA!
I’ll be honest, I watch the WNBA here and there. It’s not that bad, yes it’s a different ‘game’ than the NBA. Maybe it’s because I have 3 girls.

I like it. In late games a reset off a offensive board eats a lot of time. Keep the pressure on.

Late game fouling is still a drag.

It's not about the fact that this thread is on topic.
It's the fact that he makes a thread whenever he feels like. Even though a specific place could/should be used for it.
Or the thread is already created but he has someone on ignore.

See this thread.

Glad because Eric has someone on ignore we get to discuss topics twice.
At least for the people I have on ignore, if I make a thread... I hit show ignored content so I'm not asking the members of this forum to repeat what they've already said.
Or I look for the specific around the NBA topic.
Preach mothafucka preach!!!!!

But have you had sex with an NBA player?

Sorry, nobody's gonna tell me when and when I can't make a thread so I won't advocate that for another.

He didn't break any forum rules making this thread and not only that, it's a good thread.

I'm not sure where your irritations are coming from.
I see where it's coming from, but a rare on-topic, non-duplicated thread by KS is the wrong place to voice it.

HC should just wait until next year's "NBA Hot 100" thread comes out.

I’ll be honest I get why we’d like to keep things consilidated into threads that work together, and yeah duplicates can be annoying.

I think there are plenty of things that warrant more specific conversation, even if it’s loosely related to something else. Like why have a Blaers doing stuff in the off-season thread and not just have that merged into the nba in August thread. Anything a Blazer does in August is also a child to the parents class of NBA and August.

Why not just create a thread called all things basketball and that’s the only place we can post about basketball, the nba or whatever.

Anyways I do get the complaint, but I guess in my opinion if someone wants to make a thread to specifically talk about a rule change, a player, a certain GM, etc, I don’t see the problem unless it’s a very clear duplicate. Now will my opinion change anyone else’s? Probably not, but just saying I can see why this warrants a new thread, and most of KS’s threads I understand why he’d want to have a discussion about that specific subject. the duplicates because of the ignore button, well yeah those don’t help anyone and usually derail into this type of conversation instead of discussion on the OP.

reducing the value of Orebs further. Suppose Neil will use this to justify not bringing Ed back.

NO has already said he wants to get Zach more minutes. Hence why they let Ed walk.

Why can’t I see this post?
