God I hope so! Miss that I-5 rivalry!
Just look at how saturated the PG and C positions are these days. And how much money there is to go around. Who in the west is a true middling cellar dwellar? All the shitty teams (outside of maybe horribly run SAC) in the west (LAL, DEN, etc) have tons of young players they're developing. Hell, we have like 12 players that can warrant at least 15 mpg, and not nearly enough minutes to go around. Two more cellar-dwellers!
Regardless of whether Seattle becomes a great team, adding teams will only increase the amount of irrelevant teams in the league. Without looking at history I'm going to say that in any given season there are never more than 8 really great teams (that's probably generous) - the other 22 are somewhere between good and terrible. Adding two more teams isn't going to change the top of the league - if anything it'll reduce it to 7. Those two extra teams are going to be added to the 22 that already occupy the middle and bottom of the league. So now instead of having 22 irrelevant teams we'll have 24, or 25 if they siphon talent away from teams that would have otherwise been in the top 8.That shit works itself out after a couple years.
Damn, my wife loves those things!
The only reason I posted that was because I just got an email from Sly and Denny saying they want S2 to now be all rainbows and unicorns. No way any of you geeks.....errrr.......cool guys would use this post by me to be rude or disrespectful to the mother of my children.Come on, man, don't make it so easy for the wife jokes by serving up lines like this.

This is a good thing. Probably reduces travel as it would force realignment.
There's enough talent to go around and support 2 more teams probably. One in Seattle, and prolly Vegas.
Move a current Western team east and get 16 in each conference.

Which means it would never happen.Makes perfect sense^
Makes too much sense for them to actually do itNew Divisions:

SAS/DAL/HOU/NOP
DEN/UTA/OKC/MEM

FIFY, but the idea is absolutely correct. Player value (including future value) per dollar is what is most important here, not just Player value. Turner and Crabbe are two of the worst in that category. We'd protect Vonleh and probably NOT protect Turner or Crabbe. Both have expensive contracts for not being a first or second option.
Interesting thought. So, our top 8 to protect would be Dame/CJ/Moe/Aminu/Plumlee/Vonleh/Davis/Leonard, and leave Crabbe/Turner/Ezeli unprotected (along with Napier/Connaughton/Layman)?FIFY, but the idea is absolutely correct. Of those left unprotected, would Ezeli be the most desirable due to his size and the size/length of his contract, or Crabbe due to his youth, scoring ability, and still untapped potential?
They shouldn't really be able to use it NOW if you think about son!The best part about a Seattle franchise is that Toronto would have to stop using that dumb, "We the north!" slogan.
What kind of balloon animal is that????
We haven't expanded in years. Were actually overdue compared to the history of our league.Further diluting the talent of the league...

I value Crabbe more because he has a much higher ceiling. I think he could be a legit first or second option in the right situation.

Really? What do you think Crabbe's ceiling is? I think he'll be nothing more than a role player. He's not starter material, IMO.
