Ha, that is funny, but not really accurate. Simons and Hart have already been chosen to replace CJ and NP IMO. It is more likely that it is Norm and RoCo squaring off against CJ to see who replaces Roco.
You are right. His take makes no sense.

Theres a 90% chance they dont get a top 4 pick. Thats not worth missing the playoffs over.
Agreed, New Orleans will try to make the playoffs and I would too if I were part of that organization.

However, if New Orleans does miss the playoffs and doesn't jump in the top 4, they would be able to keep the Milwaukee 2025 pick instead of owing it to us. In that scenario Charlotte would be the team screwed, as instead of a first round pick this year they get a second.

So if I'm the Pelicans I look at it with positives no matter what happens of three possible outcomes;
1. Make the playoffs
2. Miss playoffs but get a top 4 pick
3. Miss playoffs but now get to keep the Bucks 2025 pick

Plus New Orleans already has the Lakers lottery pick this year no matter if it stays at 8 or jumps to the top 4. I think I'd like it to jump to #2 behind our #1 pick just to rub salt in the Lakers wounds.

How many points does Ingram, Val & CJ score tonight?
Ill guess 78

I think we all sadly know exactly what will happen. The Pelicans will win tonight, and then the Clippers will totally Clipper it up and lose the next game the Pelicans play.

have a terrible feeling that CJ is going to dominate. I dunno if Murray can come back healthy.

Everyone acts like the Pels have no chance or shouldn't win?
They have more talent then the Spurs, imo.

eh? everyone is predicting the exact opposite
You know I went back and checked all the post in the thread and I humbly admit I was posting out my ass. You are correct and thanks for the lesson. For some reason I got the feeling that because of Pop and they won a few times there, people were favoring the Spurs.

If the Pels beat the Clips with Norm, Roco, Paul George, Jackson, Morris, Zubac, Batum, Mann, Hartenstein, and possibly Kennard, then I am going to have a hard time believing that we lost in the trade with LA. They will be playing at home with more talent than N.O

Yeah, I can't say that I have the Spurs as favorites but I do think they have a good chance of upsetting the Pels because of Pop and their roster filled with young talent that's hungry to have breakout performances. The Spurs also have constant movement on offense both bodies and the ball. A lot will depend on if Dejounte is fully recovered from being sick.

I don't think it will say anything about if we did or didn't lose that trade, it's one game. The fact that the Clippers without Kawhi almost beat the Wolves with the help of 45 minutes of productive ball from the two guys we traded to them, kinda shows the value we gave up.

I hate it, but I have to agree. Things don't just go well. That is not how the world works.
The same logic can definitely be applied to Pelicans fans. The fact is that while the Pelicans should be a statistical favorite against the Spurs it shouldn't be by much and they should be a significant dog to the Clippers in LA. So the odds that the pick conveys are still pretty damn good.

If the Pels win tonight, those odds drop notably. Right now they have to win two games. If the win tonight, it is a one-game-play. Anyone's guess although you'd think the Clippers would have the odds, in just one game, much can happen.

Eventually i think the Play-in tourney will evolve into more games. Playoffs to make the playoffs.

I been watching the spurs the last couple months there young a very much really hungry type of team. They been playing well on the road.
