NBA Playoffs Thread - 2nd round edition

You don't have to. Just wish whatever team wins gets smoked the next round. We don't cheer for the W*rriors or the L*kers.
Do you have a mouse in your pocket? I'm a Blazers fan and I cheer for whoever I want to. I swear that the supposed Lakers rivalry that Blazers fans perceive is kind of pathetic. I don' think any Lakers fans see the Blazers as a rival. I don't think they hate us. I think we're just another team to them. So all of the Lakers hate is just sad. I don't love the Lakers, I do like LeBron a lot which somehow and some way is going against the vast majority in here even though I don't remember LeBron ever knocking us off and the guy has been a stand up superstar his entire career.

Anyway, I'm rooting for the Lakers to win it all and I'm not a Lakers fan and I don't think any of that has anything to do with my Blazers fandom.

Not bad for a league down spiraling. Can't wait for game two.

Baseball season is on. Unless the blazers are playing the playoffs mean nothing. The better sport is going until October, I'm good. :)

If you're a blazer fan you don't cheer for the l*kers. It's a moral imperative.

See I'm not sure. They are such great shooters from outside, I think they can turn it around. LA is tough in the paint, so they BETTER start hitting.
Wiggins didn't give them much other than some O rebounds in the 4th.
GS has always been get your hands in their defense by poking, stabbing, slapping the ball, the Lakers are one of the best in the league at getting to the FT line. That was the Warriors demise in game 1.

Looks like fans of the game are enjoying this matchup. I know I did, felt like a finals game!

Wow! That was sheer dominance. That being said, the Sixers still stole home court, so we'll see if what the Celtics found tonight carries over going forward.

The Celtics blowing out the 76ers felt like a finals game?

I think he posted that before tip off so I'm pretty sure he was either talking about the vibe of Celtics v Sixers or was still going off about how crazy that Lakers v Warriors matchup is.

The Sixers and the Celtics have played each other in 4 of the last 6 playoffs. You can decide whether you find that interesting or dull.

Question, If the Lakers win it all this year. Do they give Westbrook and Beverly a ring too?

I think you only give rings to the guys on the roster at the end of the regular season. I do not think Otis Thorpe got a ring when the Rockets won their title with Clyde.

Draymond will complain about anything and even he knew the foul discrepancy was the warriors fault coupled with the lakers style of play

They usually let the team vote on it. If a guy doesn't finish the season with the team.

Can they vote to give the GM of both Minnesota and Utah a ring as well? I mean they did help quite a bit....a hell of a lot more than Westbrook and Beverly did in helping them get better.
Maybe Silver as well for his role?

The hate is strong with this one.

As long as we're talking hypotheticals...what do you think I should do with the Powerball jackpot that I will win next week?

AD is just not imposing his will on this game. He could do it at any time, he just has to get to his spot and stay aggressive offensively and if he is active on that end he'll be better on defense.

And the refs ....
If we want to go full on “Tin Foil Hat” we could include the Walt Disney Co and Hearst Communications beings they own ESPN and they probably pulled all the strings? What’s another couple rings?

If the Lakers commit to dominating the Warriors in the paint for the rest of this series then they'll be able to get some wins. If they continue to settle for jumpers they're fucked. They also have to play the kind of D they did game 1, they're giving up way too many uncontested threes.

The only positive thing the Lakers could get out of this is if they rest LeBron and AD for the entire fourth quarter.

The sickening l*kers haven't even seen the A game of the nauseating w*rriors.

They're going to in L.A.
