I like this idea, and I agree that the time is right. But,...

1) Could you imagine LMA leaving us TWICE?
2) LMA needs the ball to be effective, Whiteside doesn't.

1. He wouldn’t dare. But seriously, he’s talked about wanting to come back.
2. Aldridge averages 14.5 attempts a game, roughly the same as Melo. I also think CJ would be better fit in a catch and shoot role (ala Klay) than the one he’s currently in where he ISOs all game.

Minny is clearly blowing this all up. I asked this earlier, but the Wiggins noise is even greater now than before, what would it take for us to be convinced to take on Wiggins?

How about:

HW + future Minny firsts to GS
Russell + Hezonja to Minny
Wiggins + BK's first to POR
Hmmmm, yeah it would definitely take at least a 1st for me to consider taking on Wiggins. Maybe rights to pick swap too?

Wiggins is terrible though and is on a max contract for 3 more years.

Just say no to LaMarsha!

The former Blazer I would not mind back is Napier. After the big trade yesterday, I believe Denver now has 3 PGs.

Yeah it’s super likely they’d trade Capela and a first round pick to get Whiteside who’s basically the same player only older.

With an ending contract which gives them a legit center for this year and then they can address a new center next season or sign him to what is expected to be much less money. I'm not saying this is what will happen at all....just a text I got from someone who hears a lot of stuff. From that he was extrapolating.

Neil has already made his deadline deal.

It would be fun if another traded happened, but not likely.
Especially since the Kings owner will only allow Divac to get taken by Neil once per year or so,
and it's already happened.. :)

Parsons got in a car accident and may never be able to play basketball again (not sure if you were being serious).
Did you think the comment I responded to was serious also?
Or did you not register that particular color of green?

What if you toss CJ into the deal and take DeRozan? Does that make the Blazers better or worse? Contenders or not?
I used to like that idea; but having been reading a lot that De Rozan defense is terrible.

I know I'm on an island here but I still think it makes sense to trade Whiteside and Hezonja for Batum and assets.

Like possibly a 1st round pick swap (top-5 protected) that goes to next year if not conveyed and a 2nd round pick via Cleveland (currently 33). Hornets are currently 6th and Blazers are 14th.

Then use the TPE and a 2nd or two to get Baynes from Phoenix.

Edited to add Hezonja.

If Harkless is traded to the Knicks then we can reacquire him again.

Let's trade for Kanter and sign Harkless and Turner after they are bought out. Get most of the band back together, lol.

Neil will not make any moves... he is content because the 4 game win streak lifted most of the pressure and people are still buying tickets

OLSHEY + Simons + PDX #1 pick in 2021

for New York’s #1 pick 2020 unprotected

NY would never do that.
It’s New York, they do crazy shit lol if im Neil, I try it out. I just threw in Mitchell for s&gs but hey, if the T-Wolves took yet another SG, Filler, and a first round pick around 15-20 for Covington...

Whiteside to Miami for Meyers Leonard + Miami’s #1 pick

come on Neil do something......ANYTHING
This suggestion and your last one both can't happen. This one because Whiteside can't be traded back to Miami and Leonard can't be traded back to Portland. Miami also can't trade their 1st this year. For the other trade executives/coaches can't be traded with players.

They aren't willing to throw in Robinson for Russell but they'll do it for Whiteside?

I imagine for D-Lo it’s more than just Robinson.

I bet the offer is 1st rounder, Morris, Knox, and DSJ/Ntilikina. That’s a pretty big package already.
