Most active trade deadline in years and Neil is sitting on the sidelines because of a 4 game win streak... wasting Whiteside’s expiring contract... and in the process, Dame’s prime
Considering we just made a deal, I don't think he's hanging out at his house watching Judge Judy. In a forum full of stupid posts, you manage to stand above the rest.

That's just it, they were a bit on the redundant side and Skal has had a few more years already and more polished at this stage, but nobody knows what the extent of his injury is. Maybe Gabriel can match or exceed Skal's potential, but if not, there are others out there that can replace that role. This forum tends to over value end of the bench type players.
Were not that different than other fanbases. Hypercritical of the well-paid guys, and really see value in and wonder why the end of the bench guys don't get more time on the court.

I don't like Olshey, at all, and think he has a lot of flaws as a GM, but you're taking this too far

to this point, I haven't seen any trade where I was pissed that Portland didn't get in on, unless maybe it was Alec Burks. Sidelines might be a good place this deadline

How about we take Drummond and Love off Cleveland’s hands and send them Whiteside, Simons, Mario and our 2020 #1 pick?

then we can use Drummond in a Sign & Trade this Summer - and have some insurance should Nurk not be the man he once was!

CLE's got something else going on. Now they have Drummond/Thompson/Love/and Nance all taking up big money.

Drummond and Thompson are expirings. I think they just wanted Drummond's bird rights. They're okay with Thompson bouncing at the end of the year.

He is worth less than Drummond, who brought back Henson and a second round pick. I'm fine keeping Whiteside with such a shitty value of center's league wide.

Many of these trades that have gone down

most of these trades that have gone down are so at best, imo.

I think Jody have told Olshey get the tax has much as possible due to fact we not contention to win anything.

Neil O Shyster -- give it up already your like a broken damn record and it's getting annoying -- please just wait til the deadline passes before whining / complaining - Thx
"getting" annoying?

When someone posts a Twitter link, all I see is the Twitter bird in the window and can't open the tweet. Does anyone else have that problem or know the solution? (Chrome on Win10)
Mine does the same...for about 10 seconds...be patient it will appear.

Actually TBF, we are very different from what I've experienced.
I've lived in 2 other NBA cities and I can assure you diehard fans in other towns rarely know or care about the end of the bench guys.
Here, fans are obsessed.
Believe me, it very noticeable.

Out of Curiosity what cities?
I think Portland is unique in that we are one sports city (no offense intended towards the timbers), but when I've traveled around and listened to sports radio I have heard quite a bit of oh why isn't this guy playing more type of stuff. Maybe it's not as much in those other places I don't know. I just know that in my experience I've heard similar stuff from other fan bases.

Im thinking there is a plan to keep Whiteside a couple years anyway. Dame would want that to work out and Neil is receptive to Dames input.

yeah, I was thinking the Blazers were not going to have any trouble catching Memphis, but I might have to rethink that

...was about to say, they've acquired quite the stockpile of talent and toughness to bring back that Tony Allen attitude on D
