So anger that we're winning/hanging on to our win now guys, but also expecting a premium price for all of them, so undoubtedly will get upset when that premium isn't met as well. yeesh.
But Ant isn't one of the win-now guys he's angry about the Blazers holding onto-- those are Brogdon and Grant.

Well, in this quote:
I mean wins are fun in the moment but winning in the playoffs and seeing the progression of young players are the only things that give me actual fulfillment as a Blazers fan. Jerami Grant rescuing this team is meaningless for our team. Brogdon setting the table for the win is meaningless. In my opinion because he doesn't fit well with Scoot or Shaedon, Ant catching fire to keep us in the game is meaningless.
He mentions Ant's contributions alongside Grant and Brogdon as being meaningless, as well as saying he is not a fit with Scoot and Shaedon, so it sounds to me like they're all lumped together.
Besides that, Ant wasn't the only one he was trading and expecting an overpay for in his post.

Those are just dream scenarios, they aren't my expectations. I really hope we do trade Jerami and Malcolm to teams that will give us back assets that have future value because those teams are in win now mode. I don't expect any of the other guys to necessarily get traded because they are all fairly young with both Ant and Tisse being on team friendly deals.

I'll be pissed if we don't trade Jerami and Malcolm and I will be pissed we just dump them for nothing as well.

I only got upset about the win last night because in all likelihood we will be 5-2 over our last seven games after tomorrow night and I just don't think that is good for a rebuilding team that should be looking to the draft to build their future roster.

I'll clarify for you. I think it would be dumb if there is value out there for Jerami and Malcolm not to trade them. My personal preference would be to get a good amount of value for Ant because I don't think he fits well with either Scoot or Shaedon, he dominates the ball and isn't great on defense but I don't think it's dumb if you disagree with me on that. So in summation I'll be angry if we hold onto Malcolm and Jerami but I'll totally understand when we likely hold onto Ant.

so..... youd like for us to be the pistons....? Like i get the thought process behind it and it does suck that in theory we will now have a worse draft pick but like what the hell is chauncey supposed to say to the team...? "Hey guys I need you to stay in this so you get experience but imma need yall to choke at the end and lose cus we arent any good to win a championship and we need better players than you guys"

I think Chauncey coaching to win is what he's supposed to do. I guess the anger would be towards Joe. He needs to make moves to add assets to help our future and secure our lottery position this year. If this is the only occurrence of a 5-2 run this season then I will be fine as long as we have a post deadline run like we did last season and try our best to get the best lotto odds possible.

That doesn't make us like the Pistons. If we draft poorly that will make us like the Pistons. If we don't consider how the pieces we're acquiring fit together it will make us like the Pistons. If we'd only been to the playoffs twice in the last 14 seasons and were swept out of the first round both times... and we were still tanking, that would make us like the Pistons.

  • In addition to the Knicks and Lakers, league personnel believe Brogdon has another team with legitimate interest in his services: Houston, which has plenty of former Boston staffers who overlapped with Brogdon during his season with the Celtics. Head coach Ime Udoka’s Rockets are also one of the teams that is considering a move for injured Portland big man Robert Williams, sources said.

I was gonna say "Tari Eason" but looks as if this guy may have as much physical liability as Robert Williams. Cam Whitmore?

Dude this sounds like a calf strain or a sprained ankle. I don't know how in any universe that compares to a guy with degenerating knees that have needed multiple surgeries.
Hope you are right, but he just doesn't seem to be a very good healer, dude.

kind of difficult trading with Houston as they only have a bunch of small contracts (other than Van Vleet and Brooks). Oladipo is the only expiring, but he does have a 9.5M salary

would anybody do Robert Williams for Oladipo + a 2nd? Or would the Blazers be better off rolling the dice that Williams might have one healthy season left in him...even though by the end of this season he'll have missed an average of 46 games/year?

Landale is apparently not guaranteed beyond this season. Tate is only 6.5, but team option for next year

I don’t understand why we would trade rob williams for a second. Sure if someone is offering a first let’s trade him, but why sell low?

Much better to roll the dice and see if RWIII can return to action.

Is Malcolm + Rob + warrior 1st a package that could bring back Amen + expirings/filler?

weird, because I don't have a subscription but it opened up for me.
if you have previously had an account, it could have auto-renewed. they're pretty predatory too because you can't get a refund if it did renew your subscription without consent

You don't know if this is the low point, or if his stock will ever go up. He obviously has serious, chronic, possibly career ending knee issues. The longer his out the more obvious that will be.

It would be just our luck if we traded Robert Williams and he somehow remains injury free for the next 3-5 years.

Just about to post that. Thanks. Also HOU has interest in MB. On the HOU forum fans are saying Green, Tate, BKN SRP, Olidipo, Longdale. I think that is a bad haul for MB and timelord. Joe better say NFW to something like that. You have to get one of Eason, Smith jr.,Thompson, or Whitmore back.
