10 day another guard -- WTF is Cronin doing he trades a 2nd for a scrub SG / SF then signs a PG to a 10 day ---- I was going to ask does Cronin have a clue but the answer is obvious -- he is a complete and utter tool.

Head exploding in 10 .... 9 .... 8 ......

Surely more opportunities in the off season to acquire picks/players via trades. Besides that when we move Simons and some.
Have we seen Joe make a bold move yet? The Dame trade and subsequent trades don't count he didn't have a choice which may have been by his own design. The guy is the Machiavelli of doing nothing. I feel like he's the protagonist from Office Space but he's running our team and isn't funny.

"We like the guys we have on the team, our young players need veteran leadership and the vets we have are great leaders. I'm really happy with the direction we're headed." As all of us wonder what direction that is and if he's asked what direction we're headed all we'll hear is a bunch of word salad.

Far from all. A handful of you.

Nothing to rationalize really for me really. I didn't expect Brogdon or Grant to get moved at trade deadline when they will get more for them in the offseason.
yes, an injury prone guard who led his team to 25 wins, entering the final year of his contract will be worth more as an expiring than he is after his 10 game showcase where he averaged borderline all star numbers.

So what trade was Joe supposed to make, that he didn't?
Brogdon or Ant to any playoff team that would benefit from adding a competent guard. Orlando had long been my preference.

Yes, I understand that since Orlando didn't actually trade for a guard, we don't know what they would have offered for one. Still, I believe that a competent GM would have been able to negotiate a decent deal.

I really want to see the Cronin ass kissers make an excuse for this cause that will be as entertaining as when Cronin says later / tonight ... there were just no deals to be had etc etc ( BS BS BS )

Takes two to tango.

He's an asset that can be part of a bigger pkg. Not stressing over it...Simons will be the odd man out come offseason, just my opinion.

Really? I think for the first time in years we have a REAL direction.

Me too. And I totally understand those that feel otherwise. However its the pompous arrogance that comes across in every other post that is annoying. Like, there are a few know it all's that cant phathom anything but the OPINION that they are right.... all the fricken time. LOL at them.

This question drives me nuts. It's the most preposterous defense for Joe's blatant inactivity during his tenure. None of us are in NBA front offices so we obviously don't know but what we do know is that Joe made moves that looked like a rebuild when he said he was trying to build a contender around Dame and now he's holding onto players who could help teams contend when he's telling us we're rebuilding. Give me a fucking break with the "what moves do you know he could have made" because I don't know, I just want the moves he does or doesn't make to follow the fucking narrative that he is telling us.

Tell me when that has happened? When has Joe told us the direction of the team and then made moves that seemed to help us build in that direction?

This, so much this! People said Joe would be selling low for just 2 seconds for Brogdon yet now they are pissed he wasn't moved.
I'm still curious about the thought process by a lot of people posting what you are. Is there any reasonable explanation to Brogdon having MORE value this summer, while being only a year from free agency? What team will give up anything more for him then, with the threat of him walking? We had a very finite window to maximize his value.

And we chose to kick the can down the road (aka pulling a Joe (TM)).

And let's be clear so this doesn't get lost in the weeds. This past summer, Brogdon was traded to the Clippers for a first before he got red flagged in a physical. That was his baseline value.

My issue is not as much the moves or lack of moves it's the fact it seems like we do not have a direction cause we will not sit Brogs to give Scoot the time he needs cause I think they believe this team MIGHT be able to win with Brogs at the helm ? If this is a rebuild then lean into that and fucking rebuild and trade the vets like Brogs etc but if this is a re-tool then trade the younger player not named Scoot , Sharpe for proven vets to try and win but we are doing neither at this point. All I want and I am guessing what other fans want is a direction and a plan to get that done instead of this cluster fuck of moves / non -moves that happens.

I wish new ownership close. Joe is a figure head only to Bert/Jody/Vulcans.

This answer drives me nuts. NONE of us are in the front office to know what was offfered and turned down, yet some act as though they know FOR SURE a decent offer was out there and Joe just MUST have passed on it for baffling reasons.

Do you not see the hypocrisy in your own post? Come on man.

Didn't say moves someone knows, but what trades that happened, should he have done some kind of counter offer?

WHO was traded that he should've traded for?

It's not like they missed out on Aaron Gordon or something.

It's okay to have a couple, in fact it's ideal. We're the 3rd youngest team in the league.
Not when keeping the vet:

1. He plays 15-20 minutes more than Scoot.
2. He gets paid 23 mil.
3. His value will only get lower from today when he has one year less remaining on his contract.
