Yeah it's like we get him on the downside of his career. And with bigs, that's a big concern to me. Usually they break down the fastest of all positions. If it were a year rental like Hibbert, I would seriously consider it because if he goes down, you can reload the next summer. Signing him to anything more than 2 years seems like a risk to me

Given how small ball is taking off I like the idea of a cheaper platoon system at C, we have a solid guy now with Plumlee who costs a paltry 1.4 mil next season, adding a C like Koufus or PF/C's like Ed Davis/Brandan Wright/Jordan Hill or others to me might be the better way to go, and spend the bigger bucks on SF/SG or PF if LMA leaves. And if Vonleh does develop he could be almost an ideal new style PF/C with his good 2-way potential.

Yes and he's also another player you don't want to risk as well. He's most likely going to bolt next summer anyway.

I think his knee issues were anthroscopic surgery after 2014, last years hamstrings bothered him. his feet were/are a chronic health issue for some time. he would bring his bird rights to Portland in a trade. I doubt his bolting is any more likely than Hibberts. would come down to $ in the end.

All depends on the GM. If he is building with LA in mind and trying to reel him in, he's thinking bigger. If he's not. This very well could be likely.

you're doom and gloom attitude is blinding you. Chandler is an upgrade over Rolo. Chandler is a better fit than Batum. He attacks the basket, can still shoot, and defends with more intensity. Plumlee is an upgrade over Kaman. Meyers, Dame and CJ will continue to get better. Henderson is another piece off the bench with Wes as the backup 3. Basically we uprade our starting lineup, our bench, get better defenders, get more variety and a better blend of offensive skillsets, and we get way more athletic. This compared to a team that was still 3rd in the west when Wes went down, and somehow were not contenders???
