Is Paul Allen sitting under a rock somewhere? I think Olshey has lost it

I swear if Lamarcus is stringing Olshey along telling him hes gonna stay he makes all these stupid moves and then bails Im gonna be mad.
This is the 2nd time in 2 days that he has made a deal where the Blazers give up the best player. How often does that work? He's just not very competent.
I see Tobias Harris at around 4/48
Love full max
Beverly at 3/21
Dame / Beverly
Henderson / CJ
Harris / Crabbe / Connaughton
Love / Vonleh
Plumlee / Leonard / Kaman
Fill the rest with vet min
Top 5 defensive point guard? Basically the perfect backup...PASS.
Patrick fucking Beverly, really?
So to re-arrange the double-negative, Aldridge would, without a doubt, return if they got a different roster??Woj
The Blazers haven't conceded that Aldridge is gone, but he'd undoubtedly return to a different roster.
WTF? i dont like the trade but plumlee is >>> RHJ....RHJ is an unknown
I think Neil has done a phenomenal Job. You guys are flipping out over what has basically been:
Batum, Blake and Hollis-Jefferson for Henderson, Vonleh, Plumlee and Connaughton... That's a positive trade....
Beverly is one of those guys you hate unless he's on your team, he'd be fine.
Plumlee is a known commodity - he just isn't anything special. There's about an 80% chance RHJ will be the same (only younger). There is about a 20% chance that he becomes an elite defender and an impact player.
We are taking a chance on Vonleh - who is nothing but raw promise, but we are unwilling to take a chance on a kid with physical talent AND an actual, valuable skill. I don't understand the logic there.

And saved about $5M, which is a lot. And he's made Kaman expendable by getting Plumlee on the cheap, so essentially saves us $8MWhat are the Blazers doing? Are we rebuilding or trying to compete? I seriously don't know right now

7 mil for a defensive specialist when the cap explodes? Chump. Change. So you want to pay him 7 mill a year to play 15 mpg behind Damian AND CJ?...
I think there are better places to spend money on someone who will hardly play.
Wow. We are just going to have to agree to disagree on that!
I think Plumlee's better than Rolo. 15/10 per 36, and he's more athletic and a better finisher around the rim.You guys are all missing the obvious, these moves make perfect sense if... Lamarcus is staying. Our bench just got way better, and in reality Plumlee is = to Lopez, but cheaper. It clears room to resign Lamarr and pursue Demarre Carroll.

I was anxious to see how Olshey would attack this offseason because I thought a move or two needed to be made (even if Aldridge stayed) and he didn't seem to have a lot of assets at his disposal.
None of the moves he made look like game-changers to me, but I think the Blazers have a better roster now, and better overall talent, that they did at the beginning of the week. And I think they now will be in a good position with the cap to make a run at a couple of good players should LA leave. Now, whether they can convince them to come to Portland is another matter, but money shouldn't be an issue. Olshey did a nice job of clearing cap space and increasing overall talent, IMO.

I say he's a huge upgrade because of his contrace and age.http://bkref.com/tiny/5jmQZ Plumlee versus Lopez. He's a slight upgrade (big downgrade in FT% but an upgrade in rebounding and shooting).
Not only did he do both, he made us younger, thus gaining a year or two on a rebuild if we have to go through oneOlshey did a nice job of clearing cap space and increasing overall talent, IMO.
