Yeah man, and as the rumor goes, Hibbert and George were like best buds. It took Lance Stevenson and some other player to mediate the tension, which is even more of a disaster.
 
Addendum to the Hibbert debacle. It was his fiancé that Paul George slept with.

I could only imagine the vitriol I would feel of an organization that really didn't have your back because their star player was the cause of the issue. Would you want to give your all for that team? The team that basically forced you to see the guy that cheated on your fiancé for most the year? And would you want to play hard for your best friend that stabbed you in the back?

Very happy we have no more Steve Blake man he is rubbish. Losing Rondae to get rid of him hurt more, we need great defenders and right now we have 0 good defenders let alone a single great one.

I like Gerald Henderson but I fail to see how he fits into Stotts offense he is a dreadful 3 point shooter and Vonleh is only 19 but the question is will he be any good any time soon and I have serious reservations.

I will reserve judgment for now but I feel like Olshey is in over his head and just shit the bed. Just imagine the trade packages LA and Batum would have netted last summer. If LA leaves we are completely fucked.
 
Henderson is about 33% the last couple seasons, what I see more though is he actually attacks the rim. All Nic attacked was the opportunity to pas the ball so he wouldn't have to shoot.

This is exactly my point. Before all this shit happened, Indiana was first in the league and Hibbert was an absolute beast. He was well on his way to becoming the best center in the league. Then this shit happened and Hibbert went into his shell. Does that mean he's a mental midget? I don't know man. I think an event like this would fuck up even the strongest of people.

Exactly! If Nic, having great handles, just attacked the basket more, teams couldn't cheat off him to guard dame or double Aldridge. It's of no surprise that we were unstoppable when Nic was really aggressive. A lot of the games we lost were because Nic coasted in games.

Exactly. I guess I'm in the minority, but Hibbert was an All-Star before he suddenly dropped off. He just stopped trying. Losing any desire to help your team because of personal reasons would make perfect sense to me. It amazes me how people don't take that into account at all. If we could get him for essentially filler, I would do it.

In a heart beat. Going to a contending team, with a player you are good friends with, with a fan base that has your back could be just what the doctor ordered to get you back on track.

Exactly, and I don't buy that you can't win with a big prodding center. It's not like the Spurs were speed demons.

Unless we are repackaging Vonleh or Plumlee I just don't see the minutes available to develop them if LA does return. I am fairly certain he is not coming back to Portland so that Meyers Leonard can be his starting Center.

You show me who is out there that we can get to make us a better team than we were last year.
 
I would take Hibbert over Jordan for a couple of reasons. 1. He is cheaper 2. He can hit a free throw.

With that said I actually would rather spend big money (or trade for a stud) at the SG or SF position and just get someone like Koufus or Asik to play Center as they would be decent options that cost less. Not sure that would impress LMA though.

Yep and think about this... Memphis were up against Memphis until they got hurt. In fact, Memphis was kicking the shit out of GS. Gasol and Randolph aren't thoroughbreds here. They old Skool beat GS up and had them on the ropes.

Trade Noah, Kaman and change for Hibbert.

Sign max offer sheet to Leonard and tie Spurs hand.

Spurs don't match because they want Aldridge. We get Leonard, then Aldridge resigns with us?

Bogut is a much better passer, but Hibbert, when focused, is an even better defender.

Before the wheels fell off in IND, Hibbert looked like he was a lock to win DPOY and in the running for MIP. Then things went south faster and deeper than anything I've ever seen - kinda like when Delonte West banged LeBron's mom.

Can Hibbert get back to that level with a change of scenery? Who knows. I think Olshey has a much better feel for that than anyone posting here. In Neil I trust.
