Rod took the best player available...I'm not sure. I might have had Joey Graham or Danny Granger ahead of Wright...
I wouldn't have passed on Warrick though. If we had gotten Warrick and signed a veteran PF like Shareef or Donyell, I think that would've been the perfect mix of athletiticism and consistency. If we needed defense we could replace the vet with Warrick and he would've blocked shots and ran the floor for fast break off the bench. It was unfortunate, but Wright is one of the best scorers in the NCAA and has the potential to be a 15 a night guy off the bench. He reminds me of a young Michael Finley, but not as athletic (though he does get up just fine). His defense will need work but a major upgrade over Rodney Buford.
