i wouldn't really mind sar, but it scares me a little bit too much. i don't like that fact that we will be trading for someone who has been a starter and plays the same position that a current player plays who is trying to get a new contract. i think this puts kmart in a bad position, i know it is business but as a fan i dont like it. i rather us go after/do the ray allen trade rumor that has been around. we obviously need outside shooting and ray allen is a top tier shooter. if you have the opportunity to get him, i think it is basically a must. we won't have much money to throw around, so i think we need to keep our draft pick if we can unless mentioned for money to use towards kenyon. we have said since last summer when kmart wanted a max or close to that the nets would match any offer, and i'm still trusting them. so i think if the nets org feels confident about keeping kmart, then we need to go after ray hard and early. if that cannot be done via just nj/sea/por or maybe a nj/sea/por 3way, then we could go after sar. i hope/wish we can have kmart resigned before we make moves. i know that probably won't happen, but it would make me feel a lot calmer for the summer. this is basically the same situation with kidd last year, except he was an unrestricted FA, that he might go to SA and we kept him. rod said we were going to keep kidd and we did, so i believe we will keep kmart. i don't know if it will be max, but if it has to be;then so be it. but maybe they can talk to kmart and show him thier commitment to winning and improving our team and maybe he won't ask for what he wants and maybe take a few $$ less. bottom line, sar is a nice talent but it makes me nervous that we might lose kmart. replacing kenyon with sar is going backwards IMO.
