That penalty was against the Vikes?

Vikes’ player #22 was illegally blocked before the other Vikes player committed the penalty.

Where are the folks crying about uneven officiating?

I was being facetitious, man....

Oh. I thought you were just a dumbass. :bgrin::wink::tongue:

When you play to “not lose” you ain’t playing to win.

I saw a comment. I responded. My response is literally what folks were saying at the time.

I know what people are saying. But that Defense lost the SB, not Shanahan. If anything, Shanahan's offense should be to thank for them getting a lead in the first place. Atlanta has been shit since he left.

And let's remember also that he wasn't the HC either. That loss was on the HC, not the OC. Just like Jim Harbaugh, and not the OC Greg Roman, was responsible for losing SB 47 by not running the ball in with Frank Gore. That wasn't on Roman, that was on Harbaugh.

Well..... If this holds up the Superbowl will be the fourth straight championship game that I will not be watching(NBA Finals, World Series, National Championship) As a Cowboys fan I will never root for the Eagles and I am sick of Brady and the Patriots.

Fuck them both.

If the Eagles play like this, then they can definitely win. But if they show up like the Vikings tonight, Brady is gonna eat them alive.

Agreed.

And fuck Jerry Jones and the Cowboys!!

How conflicted must vikings fans feel. Root for the team that beat their team...or root for the patriots

The one silver lining in all this; Tom Brady will not be the first quarterback to win the Superbowl by beating a team on their own field, thereby cementing his legacy as the greatest quarterback in the history of football. (Yes I realize if he wins #6 that would do it but he won't have the accolade I mentioned.)

He's NOT the GOAT. Montana would have beaten Eli Manning decisively both times in the Superbowl.

And the "number of rings" argument is bullshit too. Otherwise, you have to try and convince me that Terry Bradshaw is better than Aaron Rodgers or Peyton Manning.

And anyone who thinks that Bradshaw is better than either of those guys is a fool.

Damn. If Foles can bottle that for one more game, the Eagles have a great shot.

If Foles goes back to being Foles, the Patriots just got handed the easiest overall playoff run in NFL history.

Happy for Philly but I got no plans to watch this year. Fuck the Pats.

That’d be the 2004 season (2005 Super Bowl). Anyone who said someone other than the Niners were taking it all was a liar.

Well, one thing's for sure: Minnesota is not NE. NE is a WAAAYY better team than Minnesota.

Oh, and fuck the Long family. Bunch of douchebags right there. Fuck Howie and his flattop.

Do you mean 1994 season? The Super Bowl was easy, but they had to beat the Triplets Cowboys in the NFC title game. That hardly qualifies as one of the easiest playoff runs in history.

Yes. Getting old and mixed up my numbers there.

I missed the part where a fourth quarter, 10-point come-from-behind victory was a walk-in-the-park. Yeah, happens everyday. So by all means, total cakewalk. My bad.

The Niners walked through the regular season and, had a minor battle with the Cowboys. The 49ers opened that game 21-0. Otherwise, they destroyed every opponent.

So yeah, please do tell me again how the Pats’ path has been so much easier?

2 weeks until the worst sport in america is over!

I'm talking about opponent quality, not whether they had to come back against a weak opponent against whom they were heavily favored.

The Cowboys of that era were tougher than playing this year's Titans (who got outscored in the regular season!) and Jaguars at the same time. ;)

So, yeah, one of the weakest slates ever to go through in the playoffs and now they get a backup quarterback in the Super Bowl.

People out here are pumped, but every year for the patriots is super bowl or bust. If they lose, the season is a disaster. Talk tadio should be entertaining either way!

At the time, the NFC championship was a coronation, nobody in the AFC had a chance.

I hope the Eagles beat the Patriots in the SB. How embarassing that would be for Brady and co.

Ah, yes, debates. The best thing about them is how easily one can change the context or the parameters of the the discussion to fit their answer.
