I was being facetitious, man....

When you play to “not lose” you ain’t playing to win.
I saw a comment. I responded. My response is literally what folks were saying at the time.
Well..... If this holds up the Superbowl will be the fourth straight championship game that I will not be watching(NBA Finals, World Series, National Championship) As a Cowboys fan I will never root for the Eagles and I am sick of Brady and the Patriots.
Fuck them both.
Agreed.
And fuck Jerry Jones and the Cowboys!!
If the Eagles play like this, then they can definitely win. But if they show up like the Vikings tonight, Brady is gonna eat them alive.
But, you like the Patriots
The one silver lining in all this; Tom Brady will not be the first quarterback to win the Superbowl by beating a team on their own field, thereby cementing his legacy as the greatest quarterback in the history of football. (Yes I realize if he wins #6 that would do it but he won't have the accolade I mentioned.)
Im happy for Eagles. I will be rooting for them in the Super Bowl.
Damn. If Foles can bottle that for one more game, the Eagles have a great shot.
If Foles goes back to being Foles, the Patriots just got handed the easiest overall playoff run in NFL history.

That’d be the 2004 season (2005 Super Bowl). Anyone who said someone other than the Niners were taking it all was a liar.
Do you mean 1994 season? The Super Bowl was easy, but they had to beat the Triplets Cowboys in the NFC title game. That hardly qualifies as one of the easiest playoff runs in history.
I missed the part where a fourth quarter, 10-point come-from-behind victory was a walk-in-the-park. Yeah, happens everyday. So by all means, total cakewalk. My bad.

I'm talking about opponent quality, not whether they had to come back against a weak opponent against whom they were heavily favored.
The Cowboys of that era were tougher than playing this year's Titans (who got outscored in the regular season!) and Jaguars at the same time.
So, yeah, one of the weakest slates ever to go through in the playoffs and now they get a backup quarterback in the Super Bowl.
