No Blazers in Rookie/Soph challenge

Hey amazingly enough with Rudy and Bayless not getting playing time, they get no love for the rookie sophomore game.

What a surprise. :devilwink:

They only pick nine a side. With many rookies starting and playing big minutes on their still, or formerly, crappy teams, our guys didn't have a chance - even with all the injuries. Our team is just too deep. Of course, if Bayless was getting Blake-like minutes, it might be a different story...

BNM

I can't make an argument for either Rudy or Bayless over any of those guys even if they were getting lots of minutes; everybody on that list is a stud.

Oden was the only guy who had a chance... when he was healthy.

Danilo Gallinari and Eric Gordon are nothing special. If Bayless were in a similar situation to those two guys he would be producing as well as they are.

Rudy is only just now playing healthy. If he had played as well all season as he has in the last two games I would pick over both the dudes mentioned above.

While I think Bayless would be competitive, I think Gordon is a pretty good player. Averaging 17 pts a game on 47% shooting as a guard is pretty good. He is also a good defender.

I really expected Pendegraph to make it. I'm outraged.

Maybe that is a new contest they need to put in the NBA all star weekend. The pre game "get pumped up" huddle contest. They would have to make it R rated to have any fun though.

The Sophs are loaded. Our guys would have had to have played pretty well, even with minutes.
