Norm RoCo traded

So....the next logical move would be Dame for Nolan Smith and the rights to The Hammer?

At least the Blazers finally have a direction. They traded 2 starters for nothing.

Honestly the trade does suck but I think this board will fall in love with Keon the way it has with Little. The guy needs playing time but his D could be elite. I’m a UK guy and watch a lot of SEC basketball and he stood out in the games I saw.

Maybe the next trade did already get done. We have to suit up enough guys to play a game tonight so maybe there is a trade agreed to but we can't pull the trigger until we get two of the players from this deal in uniform.

Here's my take:

IMHO, we absolutely needed to do 2 thing before the beginning of next season, or we will have seriously eroded our chance to compete in the Dame era.
1) Trade CJ + some combination of Norm, RoCo, Nance, picks for a high quality starting PF
2) Get under the luxury tax

What some of us are so upset about is that, though we accomplished #2, we did it in such a way as to make it unlikely we'll be able to accomplish #1, which from a basketball POV is critical.

^^^^^ With a rash of injuries, he is still getting Inactives/DNP's, CD.

That top 5 pick we get could be going to Boston for Brown. I think an Ivey/Tatum lineup would interest Boston enough to pull that trigger.

We will know before end of season or maybe end of next week?

Do you mean the top 5 pick we will have due to mega tanking?

Keon
Anfernee
Little
Top 5 pick

Lillard gets a haul
CJ gets something good

now you are rebuilding with some nice pieces.

orrrrrr we could just keep doing this and get swept first round and keep Mr Blazer forever

What the hell language is

KALT LC NP OAB

I would think this deal is a prelude to another trade to beef up the 4 position. We have the assets still to address Joe's improvement plan.

We gave up our two most tradeable pieces for a guy I've never heard of who MIGHT be good someday MAYBE. This trade appears at first blush to be the worst trade since Jermaine O'Neal, but far less forgivable.

Damn shame Trent isn’t in that core. I agree Ben Simmons and Thybulle fit the new timeline that appears to be being set.

Well no one is
Always right
I don’t work for the
Trail Blazers so please

Forgive me
Or don’t, it
Really doesn’t matter to me

I can take the hate
Take this post for what it’s worth
Damn, I was hoping you were gonna tell that this really good pizza would be delivered in a couple days! :)

This trade also seems to make trading CJ all but impossible as I always had one of those two attached to him for value. Unless we trade for our pick back from Chicago we seem to be done and fucked.

This is actually a really solid trade after I’ve had more time to dissect it.

Championship parade on the way, baby baby!

Could be, still do be determined for me. Its obvious it was shedding salary but it could be for making room to replace two positions tat were manned by guys that were really playing out of position. More so RoCo imo, but the three guard line up wasnt working either and they want Simons signed I bet. CJ & some could still help fill one of those positions in a big way.

Yes, this. One would hope the goal could have been attained with better value coming back; particularly better future value. Does anyone think this is truly the best we could have done in the furtherance of that goal?
