After watching Green and Neal, I'll say it again....

Draft. Seth. Curry.

One was undrafted and the other wasn't even drafted by the Spurs but was toiling away in the D-League. How about we just get some scouts and can spot D-League and Overseas talent?

Exactly. Find elite shooters that are passable on d and highly coachable and create a system that gets them good looks.

1. Is Burke a future All-Star? Ford: No. Bilas: Yes.
2. Can MCW end up as the best PG in the draft? Ford: Yes, if he gets a jump shot. Bilas: Yes, if he gets a jump shot.
Bilas said:
However, I still rate Trey Burke as the better point guard prospect, and I also put C.J. McCollum right there with Carter-Williams.
3. Is McCollum the next Steph Curry? Ford: No. Bilas: No.
Ford said:
I think McCollum has the ability to be a very good pro (and much better than his other comparison, Randy Foye), but I don't see anyone coming down the pike this season or next season who reminds me of Curry.
4. After those three, is Shane Larkin the next-best PG prospect? Ford: Yes. Bilas: No. Bilas likes Schroeder better, and Ford thinks he has the highest upside.

POR should find a way to get the #13 from DAL, maybe a couple 2nd's, rights to Papanikalau, take on Vince Carter's salary?

Take a SG at #10 Muhammed\KCP\McCollum in that order and then a defensive\ready to contribute right away big man in Dieng or Withey at #13. Use 2nd round pick on a guy like CJ Leslie (Muscala, D.Thomas, Mbakwe, Davies) if he is there

Still have some cap space to go after a FA....

Wow, that Larkin guy has shot up to the 14th pick on Draftexpress and NBADraft.net. I remember when we wanted to get him with one of our second rounders.

Even though I disagree on most players (I like McCollum, Withey), I agree with the idea of trading some cap-space for the 13th pick.

Jake (Portland, OR)

Have the Blazers lost interest in Caldwell-Pope after seeing his workout compared to McCollum's?
Chad Ford (1:19 PM)

No. Workouts are pretty small part of the overall picture. Just not sure that Caldwell-Pope gets past the Wolves at No. 9

I thought this was an interesting comment from Ford:

Andrew (San Francisco)

Lot of talk about Mike Muscala out of Bucknell. Whose game do you liken his to?
Chad Ford (1:44 PM)

Not sure who is comp is ... sort of a poor man's Pau Gasol. Getting looks in the first round as high as 21

Apparently Shabazz Muhammed is coming to POR for a workout...Perhaps this FRI?

That is one the workouts I would be interested to see especially looking at the types of things that the Blazers want to see him do.

Interesting comment that he won't get past Minnie. I know they want a guard, just didn't think it would be him.

someone was saying that Karasev was on their board at 9

Yeah, I think that he is being overlooked a little....He certainly has some holes in his game, but I think he has some qualities that POR could use....

He would have very good size for a SG, he has an NBA ready body IMO, he may be able to play some SF as well and skill wise he is a scorer...I like that he can post up, is a very active offensive rebounder and good at finding open spots in the defense, he can shoot as well, and he gets to the line...he's going to be a finisher, not a guy you give the ball to and have him go create, although I think he could develop that. I also think that playing at UCLA has a way of underselling players to the NBA....

When I watch him, he reminds me of JR Rider actually, bigger and more physical, harder worker and without all the knuckleheaded b.s. that came along with JR....

McCollum's release looks kind of slow. And is Snell even TRYING to guard anyone?

Besides Siva, MCW, McCollum and Snell, anyone else recognize anyone? Who's the dark complected kid who looks a bit like Mark Bryant?

Draft. Seth. Curry.

But he's not really like those two. He's a good shooter, but Pop wouldn't even be playing him because there's no way he can play Finals-level D. Agree with Fez that KP is a better example - he would be GREAT on the Spurs. I demand that that never happens.

This ranking of PGs is interesting. He hates MCW and Larkin and loves Eric Green and Kabongo.

I really like Larkin's potential as a shooter/spark off the bench who could also run the p&r well, but I think his potential will be stunted in any other role. Guarding the Paul's, Lillard's, Rose's, etc. heavy minutes will be a huge problem for him and his team.

Think JJ Barea's role in Dallas. That's his best fit IMO.

Other than the design on the bottom of the bill, its pretty cool.
