Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

19 points for the Rockets in the 2nd half with 1 minutes left in the game?? How does that happen?

Let's hope we find out.

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

Jones - impressive numbers, little impact.

JJ.

Hickson.

NBA history in the modern era is tied!

Fewest points, second half
19-Miami at Orlando, March 26, 2000
Charlotte at New York, November 11, 2000
Houston vs. OKC, January 16, 2014

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

Houston: 73 points in the first half/ 19 in the second.

How do you even do that??

73 points in the 1st half, 19 in the 2nd. And I thought the Blazers had some wild swings! That's an nba record.

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

That record is not going to be broken for a long time. Both scoring stats are incredible feats on their own, let alone to occur in the same game by the same team.

Almost unbelievable. I've never seen anything like it in an NBA game. It's not like OKC played lights out on defense, either.

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

Howard has become a non-factor.

11 points and 8 boards? Wow.......

clang, clang, clunk, clunk, clang, clang, clunk...etc...that's how you do that

The refs were pretty much fucking him all night, though. He was in foul trouble from the get go.

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

Amazing. Missed the game. 19 in one half?? Details!

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

Okay, wrap your head around this:

Omar Casspi: 0 points, 1 rebound, 0 assists... hell, he didn't even put up a shot. Only guy in the + side of the +/- for Houston at +11. In 6 minutes.

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

OKC 71, GSW 65--Durant with 29, Curry with 22.

BTW, it's halftime.

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

We need PHX to force OT. Down by 3 to DAL, 6 mins left.

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

The David Stern method of increasing scores isn't as much fun as ours.

On a related note, Melo had 26pt/20reb tonight. He was 4/23, and 16/16 from the FT line.

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

And 38 FTs attempted. What a snoozefest that must be

There was only 3 fouls in the first quarter.

Then Tony Brothers decided to take over the game.

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

Fucking Tony Brothers....

Hes making a case to dethrone Violet Palmer as the worst overall official I've ever seen in my entire life at any level in any sport.

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

lmfao. A guy who was mopping the floor in PHX just got hit with the ball while cleaning. ouch!

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

wow...Durant had 29pts at half, only missed 3 shots all game, and Reggie Jackson froze him out the first 4 minutes of the 3rd quarter.

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

Twitter tells me Calderon got hurt tonight. Knee contusion. Hmmm

You sure Westbrook didn't come back on the floor?
