Reggie Jackson is a victim of the OKC over-rated machine. In the past 5 games (as a starter/without westbrick) he's shooting .355 FG%, .231 3PT%, .667 FT% and averaging 10 PPG, 4.8 ast, 4.6 reb.


OKC aside: Durant has a total of 5 points in the 4th quarter of the last 3 games, a combined 27 min 22 sec (4:44 vs Hou, 12 min vs Por, 10:38 vs Nets). Durant already has 10 4th quarter pts vs Min, who plays bad D and always allows teams back into games.

Kevin Love is no MVP. Holy choke job. He turned the ball over 2 times in the final 2:45. And with a 2 point deficit with 2 seconds on the clock, Love drew a foul from Kendrick Perkins for 3 free throws.

And to think all the fuss was made that he didn't get a foul and 3 free throws in Dallas. They give it to him and he doesn't do anything with it. lol

To be fair, the Clips did come back and cut it to 13 at one point. Made it interesting.

We were tired plain and simple. You could tell from tip-off we had no energy. 4th road game in 5 days will do that. Looking forward to the rematch.

Love have played 13 games and a total of 41 minutes when the game was within 5 points in the final 5 minutes.
2-7 from the FT line - 28.6%
9-27 from the Field - 33.3%
5-14 from 3 - 35.7%

Minnesota lost all but one of those games.

Love is clutch. #TwolvesLogic


For comparison, Damian Lillard is 80 FT% 55.6 FG% 57 3PT% in 15 games and a combined 43 minutes.

Portland has won 9 of those 15.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers have made progress on trade talks involving Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum.

The Cavaliers want to execute a trade by Sunday so it can be completed ahead of Tuesday's deadline for Bynum's contract for the current season to become fully guaranteed.

The Cavaliers have been in trade talks with other teams, such as a deal for Richard Jefferson with the Utah Jazz.

The Lakers are seeking a young player or a draft pick from the Cavaliers for Gasol.

This trade seems silly to me, from the Lakers perspective. Cleveland gets a legit big though. They could actually make some noise in the playoffs with Gasol and Irving.

@nbastats: In his 467 career games, Thad Young has dropped 30+pts 5 times. 3 of those have come in his last 6 games overall for @Sixers

Watching him in LA, he truly is a clone of Rubio -- great playmaker who can't shoot for shit! But what a pickup for the Lakers. They got him for nothing while MN will likely have to pay Ricky a near max deal to keep him.

It makes a lot of sense when you take into account it takes the Lakers out of the Tax this year and removes the repeater tax off their books. Its a move that will save them a huge amount of money, while also putting them in a better position for tanking.

The Lakers' Kendall Marshall had 9 points, 17 assists, 6 rebounds; 1st Lakers player to do that since Magic Johnson on Feb. 19, 1991.

Bayless Traded AGAIN!

The Boston Celtics and Memphis Grizzlies have agreed on a trade centered on Courtney Lee and Jerryd Bayless, according to sources.

A trade call is scheduled for Monday.

The Grizzlies can use the trade exception from the Rudy Gay deal to fit Lee into their salary structure.

The Grizzlies hope that Lee could bring much-needed perimeter shooting to the offense.

We could have signed him, and I think a lot of people wanted to sign him. I like Earl Watson, but it would have been nice to have a young pure point guard like Marshall on our bench.

I didn't like that article much--he completely understates (maybe he doesn't get?) the difference between being a taxpayer and not, and says that using the money would be "the same as being in the LT anyway". Uh, no.

I brought up an idea on the Bulls board--if you do trade Deng and Gibson and a future first to NYK for Melo and amnesty Boozer, do you look into a Rose-for-Rondo and goodies swap?
