Atlanta got dominated by Cleveland with him, while Portland competed against Golden State without him. That's why he'd come here.

Also, Toronto doesn't have the cap space to sign him even if Derozen doesn't return. Plus, Toronto already has a good Center in Valenciusencounious.

So how much would they pay to keep Biyombo, or is he moving on?

"I’ve set up here with my family. We all live here. We live here in the summer. We live here year-round. I’m very grateful for all the people here. They have taken me in from the very first day, even though I was a Gator. They loved me. I really love the city." - al horford

That doesnt sound like a guy that wants to leave. Horford hasnt rubbed me as a prima donna like aldridge was.

Toronto can manuever to bring him on even with keeping derozan, his cap hold isnt going to be that large. Valanciunas and lowry arent paid that much.

Well then they probably won't be able to if they keep Derozen. They'll likely draft Poeltl or Ellenson with their lotto pick

Maybe we offer him day 1, while they are still waiting to see what Derozan decides. Not as good as Whiteside or Horford, but probably easier to get. Should we make him feel like he is our number one priority? Or do we take a chance and go for a home run instead ?

Watching Toronto play and then looking at the stats, I'm realizing that Terrence Ross is essentially the same player as Allen Crabbe. Ross got a 3 year 31.5 million dollar extension. I guess I wouldn't mind giving Crabbe around that much.

Good input from Eric Pincus -

"Ezeli is restricted - so Warriors have a say - Biyombo in control of his destiny - can go/stay wherever he wants"

Terrance Ross is more like JR Smith IMO. He takes poor contested shots frequently. Crabbe plays within the flow of the offense.

Bro T- Ross jumps outta the GYM. Crabbe? Yeah no...

But money wise you're correct.

He may jump higher but he doesn't seem to do that much with his athleticism. Their stats are remarkably similar across the board. On a side note, I actually played a spring league game against Ross once, and a couple of my friends lost to him in the Street Jam dunk contest about 6 years ago.

If he takes a lot more contested shots that makes his percentages more impressive, they are only very slightly lower than Crabbe's.

Who has more dunks? That would indicate who's using there athleticism more. Stats don't take a true picture of a player's play style. After reffing Ross and following his career after graduating from Jeff, IMHO his style of play doesn't resemble Crabbe's.

Not impressive when he is shooting bricks leading to fast breaks. Ross basketball IQ is low that is why he takes so many terrible shots.

If Portland is actually interested, I agree that Howard is the most likely. Whiteside likes his life in Miami and I'm not sure he's all about winning. "Just trying to get my 2k rating up." Yeah that doesn't sound like a guy that's chasing a ring. Howard's best, and most realistic, fit is in Portland. Biggest question is whether or not Olshey is interested

And I doubt any team offers Howard the max. I mean come on. Really? $30M? Nah

Keep an eye on MIA this offseason.

They have Wade, Deng, Whiteside all as unrestricted free agents and would have to use their capspace to sign them. They don't have that capspace unless they can somehow get rid of McBob and Bosh, etc.

I'd go after Deng HARD as well as Whiteside.

A Dame/CJ/Aminu/Deng/Whiteside lineup with a decent bench can win you 55-60 games if healthy.

I admit I don't watch Ross play very much, is he dunking in traffic often or something? Crabbe actually dunks quite a bit on fast breaks even though he doesn't get up super high.

37.5 vertical compared to 36. It's not like Crabbe is that far off

Dame's vertical is on par with Westbrook's but who is the consensus pick for most athletic between the two? Same situation with Crabbe and Ross. Did you see Ross in the dunk contest? He's MUCH more athletic than Crabbe.

Maybe?
