A lot of 2nd round picks may have comparable college stats to Crabbe. Doesn't mean theyll be like Crabbe

They actually compare him more to Draymond Green. He can stretch the floor, put it on the floor, pass, and has enough bulk to hold his own down low.

Who are you saying compares to Draymond?

His response was to me when I said that Coty Clarke would be a good replacement for Crabbe. I think Coty would be better than Crabbe if given a chance. However, I don't see him being a Draymond type.

No....they might actually be able to dribble.

I'm not saying....one of the reviews said he has some Draymond Green like characteristics.

Clarke took full advantage of his opportunity, providing the Red Claws with Draymond Green-esque versatility on both sides of the ball, resulting in two 10-day contracts with the Celtics. With Maine spreading the floor, Clarke played both stretch big spots at 6' 6” 239 pounds and fits the pass, dribble, shoot mantra that's become increasingly important in the NBA.

Although i like whiteside and horford, these are the reasons id rather go all in on howard. Horford and whiteside are gonna have so many suitors and just as easily could stay (whiteside is trickier with miamis cap). We know howard is leaving, so the question is where to? His mentor already acknowledged we are a good fit, he seems to be friendly with lillard whenever they see each other, neil could sell him, and i think it would mean a lot to howard if we came out and were at his doorstep july 1st at 12:01am.

Agreed. Wasting time on the biggest targets isn't a smart move, IMO. Not that I'm high on Howard, but I'm also not that high on Whiteside...and even setting that aside he seems like a total long-shot for us. Better to spend those precious first few hours on someone more realistic.

The other 2 will have a few suitor to talk to them. Howard will be flying under the radar and so I believe he can be sign if Neil is there at 12:01 on July 1. Orlando are aready said there not interested only team we might compete with is Dallas. But I heard Dirk don't want him in Dallas no more.

If we end up being the only suiter we might be able to short change him and have enough money after to go after a potential ring chaser PF like Pau.

I think you need to sell him on this. Take less so we can bring in more.

Interesting. Where did you hear that? Radio, TV, or internet? I am sure Dirk would not come out and actually say it, but it still could be true.

Who cares if dirk wants him or not. Our team is set up better to compete next year and in the future.

I believe it was either hoopshype or bleacher report.

It has nothing to do with Dirk, it has everything to do with Dallas. Cuban is always a factor when it comes to FA, and I am guessing he cares what Dirk thinks even if Dirk is old. Dallas was on Howard's list when he was in Orlando. Take them out of the equation and it does help......if you want him.

An ex Blazer was.......

"The one possible scenario in which Barnes leaves, the source said, would be if he approached the Warriors front office with a request to be elsewhere. If Barnes determines he would like to have a chance to be a more featured part of an offense, the Warriors would likely honor that — especially if a sign-and-trade deal could be worked out. A deal involving fellow free agent Nicolas Batum of the Hornets (Barnes played college basketball at North Carolina) has been rumored, but of course nothing along those lines has actually been discussed."

That trade actually makes sense.

Barnes is younger and inconsistent.

Batum is older, a little better and inconsistent.

Who is the best player we could get for a package involving Aminu, Plumlee, Davis, CLEs 1st, and a POR 1st?

I don't think you trade both Davis AND Plumlee. If you sign someone like Horford, you then trade one or the other.
