Why didn't Utah just trade 12 for Teague? I would take Teague over Hill tbh.
Easily.

Indy trades one hometown guy for another. I feel like the only reason people tolerated Hill here was because he went to HS and college in the area.

Maybe Hill is getting flipped somewhere else? Part of a trade involving Hayward?

Hill can't be combined with other players in another deal, correct?

Lol how so? Dunn is miles ahead of Brown and Brown can't do much offensively...
Dunn is miles ahead of Brown right now, offensively. However, Brown is probably going to be the best perimeter defensive player in this draft, and he can get to the basket. He has the highest ceiling outside of the top 2 imho.

I'm already seeing people saying this move makes Utah a playoff team. People have been saying that pretty much every year since the year after Deron is Deron left, and I don't think an average at best starting pg adds that many wins. They need a CJ level player at least.

I think Chriss has highest ceiling outside of the top 2 (maybe even outside the top 1). Problem is he probably also has the lowest floor though.

Kind of depends on if Rudy has a shit year again or not. I say they are just out still though.

Exactly. Their problem is that they don't have a guy that can take over the game when they need points. We beat them because of that very reason.

Yeah all three is absurd. Blake is a good player, but he is not a "take over the game" whenever he wants type of player.
Not sure we have what they need besides Aminu. They don't need CJ and I prefer to keep him.

I saw where Howard officially opted out today. So the article mentioned how Portland, Charlotte, Orlando and Milwaukee were
once considered the front runners. Seems like a wild guess on someone's behalf.

Dirk also opted out.

Can a player opt out and then re-sign with the same team for less? Im thinking Dirk opted out so he can take a cut in salary to help the team bring more impact players in?

The Jazz will be a playoff team next season imo.

Hill / Exum
Hood / Burks
Hayward / Lyles
Favors / Booker
Gobert / Withey

That's the best defensive team in the NBA.

Parsons opted out too.

And hes gonna have a decent sized cap hold.

Do you think that is to move on, or do you think him and Dirk said lets build one more ring team for next year?
I dont think thats the case. I think everyone is jumping ship and Cuban will be stuck with 15-20 wins next year.

It wouldnt surprise me if it is to move on.
If golden state doesnt want to keep barnes and fails to get durant, i think parsons could be a target for them.

Yeah where are those who were so enamored with the path the Jazz took with Deron trade. I admit they got value for him with all the draft picks, but the start over strategy comes with risks......like players wanting out because of the losing that comes with it.

They need guard help bad but a broken down guy? Not sure of their cap space (and depends on who - if anyone - is going out) but this could take them out of running for Dwight (not that I think he would sign with them anyways).

Utah and New Orleans are the two teams that people keep saying will be the breakout team.... and the last two or three years they just haven't.

Minnesota too. But they finally got lucky with towns. I still dont think wiggins gets any better than derozan.
