Chris I think if we're sending out #11 then I would 100% want their #16 pick back.
I hope we're notWhy are we trading down from 11 for Black, Isaac and Bitadze?
Yeah getting a pick for Ant makes sense - I can't see us giving up #11 to dump him though.Without specifics, and trying to keep it realistic, send Ant out to Orlando makes sense. Getting ROLE PLAYING vets back is huge, as well as another pick.
I don’t think we’ll be able to move Ayton, but that shouldn’t stop us from moving him to Cleveland for a package that includes Allen. Like others have said, Clingan, Camara, Avdija, Scoot and Sharpe should just be given the ball.
Funny but I've come to the opposite conclusion - it's critical to have two way players that can defend. Ayton is about as bad of a defensive center as there is. Hence an unpolished rookie destroyed him in on/off numbers and even Jabari Walker as a tiny scrub center was better. The more playoffs I watch the more convinced I am that Ayton offensively would be a nice player to have in playoffs. Mid range pick and pops are a great option with teams focused on 3’s and clogging the middle. Iq Ali think Sharpe could potentially be really good since he’s so effective getting mid range shots
Yeah I think with the team for sale the Blazers will be conservative with moves. I don't think we'd give up two picks for a Deni level player this summer. How about we just keep it real simple.
Lets try to win this year. Maybe work on getting a decent role player with the pick. I don't care if that is by using the pick or trading it with another player(s) but add a decent 3 and D guy.
That might be. Hope not but it would make sense.Yeah I think with the team for sale the Blazers will be conservative with moves. I don't think we'd give up two picks for a Deni level player this summer.
Judging by their time on the floor, Ant, Grant and Ayton don’t help us winHow about we just keep it real simple.

The players I listed should absolutely be doing everything they can to win. With as many other players traded for picks (or good young 1st-3rd year players) as possible. How about we just keep it real simple.

Sounds like a move the Sacramento Kings would try to do.trade avdija for trae young

That checks outBlazer record was 36-46 (.439).
Portland was 8-4 (.667) without Simons. They were 28-70 (.400) with him
They were 17-23 (.425) with Ayton; 19-23 (.452) without him.
Blazers were 14-21 (.400) without Grant. They were 22-25 (.468) with him
as bad as Grant was this season, his 2-way skills had a better impact than Simons or Ayton
Then simply trade them for ways to make the team better.Judging by their time on the floor, Ant, Grant and Ayton don’t help us win

If it's so simple why didn't that happen in the last two years? Then simply trade them for ways to make the team better.
You get it.If it's so simple why didn't that happen in the last two years?
Instead we've pushed this AytonGrantAnt big 3 and benched Scoot/Sharpe/Deni.
I mean it seems simple to me that those guys shouldn't be on this team but that was the simple truth for years. So I'll believe their gone when their actually gone.
Yeah Id be for adding Adams - especially if we can ditch Ayton somehow.I’m targeting grizzled/productive vets to add to the bench.
I’m targeting FA Steven Adams and ditching RW3
I was good with your post until this. Please GOD NO on an Ayton extension. He's more overrated than Whiteside was. Everyone here posted how Whiteside would get some 20 million deal after playing for us, but he signed for the vet minimum then was out of the league.#4 - Find out if DA is willing to sign an extension at around $20m/years - as a DA / DC center rotation at a reasonable price covers a lot of skills for a C rotation (*Also, he and Deni seem to real gel together - so if you are thinking of Deni as a cornerstone, having him for a more reasonable salary could pay dividends)

Ayton is one of if not solely the least enjoyable Blazer centers to ever watch on a basketball court. Don't take my word for it - listen to Greg Oden and Channing Frye rip him apart.
If Ayton walks... Good! I'd rather start Walker or Duop or anybody than that lack of effort wimp.
