New Orleans at Minnesota is one game today that will matter for both teams.
I think this is the only such game.
What makes it even more interesting is that they are both fighting for the eighth seed in the Western Conference.
If Minnesota wins, they will move past New Orleans in the standings and the Pelicans will drop to the 9th seed.
Starts at 12:30.
The Warriors absolutely want to win. The Lakers will want to win just in case the Warriors happen to lose but of course the Blazers don't want to win. Other than that you are correct.
One real game today for the most part.

...yeah wtf is this shit?! Never help the Lakers. Why not wait until it's too late for him to re-sign elsewhere?! :dunno:
They helped the player not the Lakers. The original signing was built to help him get some show for a team in need.

Because the guy is hurting for a contract as is and it'd be a dick move to prevent someone from getting a postseason contract so you can keep him for a meaningless final game.

We didn't cut him. We just didn't sign him to another 10-day contract after it expired. Let's him play a game with the Lakers and let's the Blazers get a look at Chance Comanche, which sounds like was the plan for a couple of weeks.

There seems to be a trend with Gobert. He has now had issues with both teams he has been on.

Utah trying to beat the Lakers is pretty funny. How far down can the Lakers fall?

They can fall into 9th if they lose and and Minny wins because Minny beat them 2 out of 3 times this season. That would mean the Lakers would have to win two in a row to make the playoffs.

This last game of the season was pretty fucking intense down the stretch but the Wolves never really let the Pels get in front of them late.

I think they are stuck with Gobert. KAT is owed huge huge money in the next couple years. They might be in a worse position than POR unless they can get heads out of asses etc.

Wolves a dumpster fire?...who could have guessed

at least they have all their future draft picks!
Gobert is toxic. His contract is toxic. You would obviously have to attach a first rounder or multiple firsts to unload him and they don't have any firsts to attach to him if they did want to go that route. Dumpster fire is a fair assessment of what's going on with the Wolves.

the only avenue to salvage this shit show is to find guys who fit gobert better, and the only guy they can realistically trade to bring back value is KAT ( and even that is questionable given his upcoming raise in salary).

I don't understand how these GMs can so blatantly ignore how players fit together. Between the pairing of KAT and Gobert and then the pairing of Luka and Kyrie, it's kind of mind boggling that teams traded quality players for these terrible mismatches and not only made the trades but bankrupt themselves of draft capital in the process. Crazy stuff that is going to be really hard to recover from.

It’s the drive to add names and not fit. If we were to go get Luka we would have the same problems that Dallas had.
