Nice Job Lakers -- When Healthy AD is great but unless they plan on playing him like 5o to 60 games a season to limit the wear and tear on his body he will not even make it to the playoffs. I like the idea of the Lakers missing the playoffs but taking the Laker hate out of it I am not sure this is a good deal for the Lakers in the long run.

Other players awaiting sentencing include Darius Miles and Sebastian Telfair.

I'd love a financial hit where I was still making between $4-20M.

Salaries in the $20-29 million range take the hit with 2 other huuuge salaries on board; those are simply can’t miss type of salaries both on performance and health. I expect paying a $15-19 million contract — like Nurk’s — for a starter is one NOT to miss on any more.

It sucks to lose Lillard, but the timing is right to reset the structure of the team salary.
It’s also why my favorite trade scenario is Brooklyn to send away Lillard and Nurkic for expiring, Claxton, and Clowney (and not even max picks) and follow it with Grant for CamJohnson. Or, second best, a Toronto trade receiving Barnes or OG.

Either one is a “qualified win” for several reasons.
