I can certainly see Milwaukee willing to throw their 2031 pick and Middleton contract out there to get whatever the best player is they can to win the title this year.

You'd think there would be initial targets for someone better than CJ. But still that move is better than standing pat with the injured Middleton.
I would definitely think that Grant would be a better option than CJ.

Get involved and send Simons to Pels in three way.

It would be difficult because the BUcks are over the 2nd apron.

Could do:

CJ to Bucks
Zion to Portland
DA to Pelicans (and each team could swap some 2nd round picks probably).

Who goes out from the bucks?

My chrome crashed and I rushed to post it. I think it was Middleton, as they A: can't combine players and B: don't have anyone else making that kind of cheddar.

There is no real realistic way for the Bucks to trade for CJ.

Send Connaugton to a 3rd team then CJ and Middleton can be swapped.

I'd rather get rid of DA than Ant. But I think Ant and Thybulle or such could fit in place of DA salary if you really wanted to ship out Ant.

Zion is done. Do not want him. Sorry. Good kid, but I called it years ago. He would fade quick like Oliver Miller.

He didn't fade as quick as I thought. He lasted a couple years longer, but I think he has maybe three years of bouncing around left and that's it.

New Orleans and a fat guys is not a good combo, ScootBooterShooter

Not sure who the right comparison is, certainly not Oliver Miller as Zion lead the Pelicans to one of the best records in the conference for a big portion of a season. Yeah he can't stay healthy though and also has some off the court stuff that is perplexing at the least.

Maybe Shawn Kemp is a good comparison for him. If he had the right teammates and things go right he could help get a team to the finals.

Or he could sit on his ass, get out of shape, and be a horrible backup earning $100 million+

My comparison to Miller has nothing to do with on court play. It has to do with physique and weight and the cliff drop they took/are taking.

I'm not sure there is a good place for him honestly. I think beaches and sun would distract him as much as food. Just never been high on him. Yes, he has had some absurd stats and games, but the inconsistency is off the charts for the money.

Anybody remember Greg Robinson who used to be a Portland sports radio guy with Kermit Washington?

I just saw him on a Prevagen commercial.

What??

Mr Robinsons neighborhood fucking ruled. Same with Dream Weavers show (Dream died about 2 years ago now).

Oh interesting. Well, we’ll see how it goes. You still can’t force people to play defense. You can’t force people to care. The two All Stars teams have no incentive to win. They’d be heavily favored. Why would they want to play against the rookie/sophomore team? They’d rather avoid embarrassment than take it head on. Like the dunk contest. I think the only solution to the All Star game is to give the winning conference HCA in the Finals. That’s it. Otherwise, they won’t care.

They did this for baseball. Players cared less because only a few teams had any shot by the mid point.

It doesn't work. nba saw it didn't work for baseball.
