I hate the Mavs. I wish he punched Luka instead of slapping whoever that guy is.

Brother think what you want to think. The league doesn’t give a shit about supposed less viewership for 1 reason and 1 reason only…… You see how much they are receiving on the new contract that starts next season FAMS!?!? Cut that check…….. I PROMISE you the next one will also be that much of an increase. SOMEBODY is watching.
Yeah, TV contracts are up yet ESPN is laying off everyone expensive. It doesn't look like a sustainable aspect of the business model.
And you're kidding yourself if you think the league doesn't care just because revenue is good. Perception is everything, and it often drives reality in time.
What year has the NBA not done this at Christmas? It's been the same structure for basically the last 20 years.Getting decent numbers across a lot of games back-to-back isn't the same as having great ratings for any one game. They stacked the deck to get their viewership.

Naji Marshall throws punch at Jusuf Nurkic for shoving him in the face
Nurkic, Marshall, PJ Washington ejected from game.
You can (maybe) scratch Naji Marshall from tomorrow's game in Portland?
They pretty much did. As soon as Nurk felt the wind from the punch that missed him he fell down. The man is as soft as they come. Charmin Soft!Let them go like they do in hockey. When they fall, break it up and send them back to the locker room?
Nurk is soft, but in his defense he was being pulled from behind by a teammate and then another Mavs player pushed him down. That's why he fell. That's why the Mavs had 2 players ejected and PHX got the offsetting tech free throw. They pretty much did. As soon as Nurk felt the wind from the punch that missed him he fell down. Leagues that struggle don’t expand, plain and simple.Yeah, TV contracts are up yet ESPN is laying off everyone expensive. It doesn't look like a sustainable aspect of the business model.

It has always been the same. Only change is, instead of them bouncing back and forth from TNT to ABC……they were all on ESPN. Exact same.I don't recall it being 5 straight games, all televised with no overlap, but perhaps that's age talking.
Good point.Leagues that struggle don’t expand, plain and simple.

I’m not sure Netflix can track viewers. Don’t they track minutes watched? These are tracked by different methods.Curious what the NBA #s were last year.
Many of most years there haven't been NFL games on Christmas.
I think YouTubeTV is better. Plus, can you easily watch pirated games on your TV?Bingo. The best user interface you can find now is pirate sites. That's the easiest way to switch from game to game.
Don't feel bad. The NBA is doing fine. Just do what works best for you.
Absolutely. Especially if you have a Google TV or Android TV (or the $20 Android TV box from Walmart, fire stick, Nvidia Shield, etc).I think YouTubeTV is better. Plus, can you easily watch pirated games on your TV?
Of course it won’t have Amazon games but I have Amazon so not concerned with that.Absolutely. Especially if you have a Google TV or Android TV (or the $20 Android TV box from Walmart, fire stick, Nvidia Shield, etc).
Install the TV Bro browser and you're off. Open a tab for each game you want to watch and flip back and forth as desired.
YouTube TV is good, but it probably won't have Amazon or Netflix games.
Also- with pirated games, what is the flexibility? Can I start watching a game late without waiting for the game to end? Full “DVR” capability?Absolutely. Especially if you have a Google TV or Android TV (or the $20 Android TV box from Walmart, fire stick, Nvidia Shield, etc).

I'm not sure on DVR. It seems doable, but I haven't spent much time to figure it out.Also- with pirated games, what is the flexibility? Can I start watching a game late without waiting for the game to end? Full “DVR” capability?
