Yeah, weird how so many teams don't follow that route.

Denver didn't even know to take him with their first pick in the draft that year and instead traded it for Nurk.

I mean, why don't everyone follow that? Take a generational talent in the 2nd round. It's as simple as that.

Haha don’t we have a suppose generational talent in Dame? Yaaa we sure do know what to do with him lol

Most likely three times by season end? Who could blame them for voting for the guy again. He's a force like none other right now.
Yeah if the numbers are the same as they are right now between him and Luka, I'd have to vote for the guy whose team ends up with the better record. Other than that it would take an explosion from another all nba caliber player compared to what they've shown so far this season, that gets there team a top two seed in either conference or someone already there putting up way higher numbers... or something unlikely that derails Joker.

Just want to point out that again you are turning on Dame and then will pity him for having to be on this team... fucking unbelievable.

There are thirteen players in league history that have back to back MVPs. No one is saying Dame is a top 15 all time player... just a top 75 all time player. I think you can understand how wildly different the criteria is to be in one group as apposed to another. Oh and I actually think Dame is really close to as good as one of the players that has back to back MVPs but hasn't played for the coach or with the talent that magnifies him the way Steve Nash did. That's me saying that Nash doesn't belong in the top 15 not doubling back and trying to weaken my stance that Dame is around 75 and nowhere close to 15.

I believe Westbrook is beating Lillard in the all-star voting. C'mon Portland, vote harder. It takes 30 seconds every day.

Not to mention I think Jokic is going back to back to back.

that's not the point

you said Denver was building a team right. The only reason they are even a contender is because they may have had the greatest draft LUCK in NBA history by landing a 2 or 3 time MVP with the 41st pick in a draft.

nobody is stupid enough to try and compare Dame to Jokic, well, almost nobody. They are just ridiculing the assertion that a generational incident of massive good luck is "building a team right"

Could you imagine having both those guys for a while and actually being able to say "We want this one" and "Lets get as much as we can for the other one from a divisional rival".

Damn, I just realized Norm Powell is getting 17 points a night off the bench in only 25 minutes. Man I knew I wasn’t happy with that trade when it happened, but now, WOW!

But we got Justice Winslow for him!

How does SGA have nearly 2M all star votes playing in tiny ass market OKC? And Dame finishes with only 600k?

All I ever heard was “well Dame plays for a small market so it makes sense”

This year he is deserving, but in all honesty, he has a whole COUNTRY voting for him.

Yeah, seems like we had him in the wrong role. If only we'd put him in the off-the-bench-gunner spot that many around here feel Ant should occupy instead of trying to shoehorn him in as an undersized SF, who knows what kind of difference it might have made.

not to make excuses, but pretty sure that was done as a ploy to retain him in FA the season prior to him hitting the market. And most likely a promise Olshey made while recruiting him in FA.

Stupid reasoning but probably a reasonable guess as to what happened.

I’m watching a Bulls vs Hawks game in 1988 and wow there is such a difference between now and then. It wasn’t just players hunting 3’s.

In fact I’ve seen few being shot

I’m ready for part 2 Celtics vs Warriors Finals

You do realize the Warriors are only a couple games ahead of us.

But you gave up on the blazers? Lol. If you're going to be a troll, at least think about it for one second.

Last week you were a thunder fan. What team you gonna be a fan of next week? Bucks? Nuggets?
