Sounds like Simmons is playing tonight for Brooklyn. I think he will help them a lot, unfortunately. He can run the point allowing Dinwiddie to be more of a shooting guard on the floor. (which he is better at) I say unfortunately because it eliminates another trade option for Malcolm IMO. Simmon's inability to stay healthy won't factor in...... unless he reinjures himself again before the trade deadline.

I'd take Simmons in a heartbeat at this point. Why not? His value is so low it can only go up. His next contract will be a vet min.

Hopefully he helps them overcome GS in the standings..

I was thinking more of Dinwiddie and Clowney for Brogdon. Simmons makes too much money unless we are trading Grant. But if Simmons plays well they don't need Malcolm or Grant.

Is it true Embiid always seems to miss his games in Denver? I'm reading he has not played there in 5 years?
Since 2019. But he's played exceptionally well against the Nuggets/Jokic at home, I think having 47pts and 41pts in the last two.

Assume he's playing simply to showcase.

He always decides when he will, and will not play. So you are suggesting he wants to be showcased because he wants to be traded?
I'm not suggesting ANYTHING FAMS.... I have inside sources telling me he wants to get out of Brooklyn and told them he wants to play to prove he's still got it.

But I have always loved his game and would love to have him on our squad.

I was all for trading for him during the summer for Dame's salary, but now it would require several players to match his 37 million. He would need to want to play in Portland for it to work....and I have my doubts that he would.

Does he have good knees? ?

Zach Lavine is 2 time All Star but not last year and won’t make it this year. So no.
All-Star selection is NO way to judge a players talent level. But you already knew that right?

Obviously it's not, but given the content of the tweet to which his post referred, it's absolutely relevant to point out.

Simmons is a unicorn. Find another body like his with his skill set. Extremely talented and actually a sad story to me. I guess I don't know the entire story out of Philly but everything with him went south after what many said was being called out by Doc and Embiid for blowing the playoffs for them. Clearly he didn't because Joel and Doc couldn't get it done with any roster they cobbled together!

He's 27 on a hefty contract but has not been healthy, imho (mentally or physically), since leaving Philly. His numbers while at Philly were pretty insane. Then there's his defense...nothing to say there, everybody knows he has potential to be one of the best in the league.
