If Siakam is not really available, it will be hard to find anything but a lateral move, or move that improves us slightly like getting Bamba. I will add to that. If we could get Bamba and Jalen McDaniels from Charlotte without giving up any of our core players, I think that could make a big difference, even though you could call them both role players, they are both good two way role players.
I could see Riley wanting to get younger and possibly consider a trade for Butler. Yeah he's old but still has a few years left. Id couple Simons and some for him.

Fucking ESPN have to bring up the Memorial Day Miracle and then to compound it bring up that bomb that Kobe dropped on us to steal that series. Godfuckingdammit!

Thunder done passed the Blazers. OKC has sooo many picks to deal as well.

Magic are a weirdly designed team. Their 7 footers are money from behind the arc. Their guards are broke.

OKC feels like the early KD/Westbrook Thunder. You know they’re going to be REALLY good in a short period of time. They got Chet coming next year and picks to trade for someone impactful as well.

If you know what you’re doing rebuilds can be a good thing and fun.

Watching the Clippers and Nuggets play then compare to our Blazers… just sad

Why would you compare two teams loaded with talent and expected to go far this year with our Blazers? Curious about this?

This basketball team has some very unfortunate looking basketball shorts.

Denver showing they are gonna be the best in the west this year.

Memorial Day Miracle was Sean Elliott making the shot for Spurs in 1999 WCF. Had nothing to do with Kobe.

I know... obviously, I'm a Blazers fan. The ESPN broadcast crew was waxing on about special moments in the Alamo Dome because I guess the Spurs were doing their last game there even though they stopped playing there a while ago (it was also the NBA game with the highest ever attendance). Anyway as the broadcasters talked about the greatest moments in Alamo Dome history they said the greatest was the Memorial Day Miracle... which is one of my least favorite moments in NBA history. Then they decided it would be fun to talk about how that iteration of our team had a few heartbreaks most notably the shot that Kobe hit late in the fourth quarter of game seven of the 2000 WCF that put us away, after we squandered our thirteen point lead we had going into the fourth quarter. I just hated that the broadcast somehow turned to two of our worst moments, one of which had nothing to do with either of the two teams that were playing in the game being broadcast.

Good for them. I'll tell you what's not good for them, they just had 16 seasons where they never even for a game got to this point and during those 16 seasons they haven't made the playoffs. Sometimes it takes perspective to see that we don't have it that bad. Also it goes to show you that if you blow it all up and plan on tanking bringing you back to the playoffs, you might be waiting for a really long time.

Also, note to self: don't hire Vlade Divac as GM.

So are the Lakers stupid for wanting 33 year old player like Bojan Bogdanović? Especially when they are at 19-23 in 13 seed and out of the playoffs. Isn’t he too old? Why would they take that kind of a chance?

If Riley and Spoelstra were willing to do it, then I know it would be wrong for us.
