So the Celtics’ leprechauns got themselves a unicorn. Seems appropriate. Now we just need to steal their lucky charms and pot of gold.

Now I'm really confused...

Absolute firesale going on in Washington.

We should be interested in Gafford if we move Nurk.

Maybe even Kuzma in FA.

New CBA fix. Get an expensive guy for 1 year instead of 3 more years, so they can resign Draymond.

The Wizards are taking a look at Poole as a lead guard, if it works, they replaced Beal for 1/2 the price, if it does not, tank commander.

I have not followed Toppin that much but I remember some fans liking him. What is his value in a trade to Portland? We could fit him into the TPE. I assume 23 is too much? Maybe some of our 2's?

"My understanding of the Toppin situation is this: if the Knicks create an opportunity for Toppin to play more – and regularly – there would be no reason to trade him. But if the Knicks can’t find a way to create more minutes for Toppin, the player and team will work together to try and find a new home for Toppin."

This is a high IQ move by the Warriors and not a bad move by the Wiz -- first time that has been said over the past few days.

They used a 1st round pick to dump Poole's contract. What does that say for Ant's value?

I do not think it says anything. Poole makes horrible basketball decisions and do not see him living up to his contract. Nice player if on the cheap. Simons on the other hand would thrive in a starting role not playing out of position. Worth his contract now and a bargain in the right spot.

Are the Warriors gonna eat CPs 30M dollar deal this year? Their tax is still goin to be through the roof this year.

Not too much, imho, Poole stunk the place after getting his contract, he was a minus on both offense and defense. Ant is only a liability on defense.
Not to mention Simons is actually a likable guy and has some respect while staying humble.

They might look for a buyout now, even a $2,8 million reduction in their bill (what they will get back if they release him so he can go get a minimum contract somewhere) is real money with their tax bill.

I didn't think that buyouts had an effect on your cap number or tax number?

I assume the buyout will be for his salary minus minimum salary he will get from someone else (LA Lakers), so their taxable payroll goes down by that amount.
