Wow sportrac already has their salary page updated. Nice to see that. Harris is on an exiring deal so I bet they might be able to flip him for another pick at some point, especially if he is healthy and playing ok. Those are the type of moves to make if you are rebuilding with cap space, not sign Evan Turner type of shit. If we had been doing that for the 4 years after LMA left we might have built up some real talent to win with Dame.

1.) Detroit can't offer Grant anymore.

2.) Detroit can't offer Cam Anymore.

So I guess Cam is going back to Brooklyn.

I can't believe they got value for Harris....

Cam agent can probably still leverage the Spurs or something to get a fair offer.

I'm hoping we hear a Cam for Ant trade as well as a good MLE signing from Portland. I fear we'll give the full MLE to a Derrick Jones Jr type and pay Grant over $30 million though.

Cam > Anfernee on the floor.

Why does Brooklyn do that?

Probably would need Cam to force his way here as Grant did. Supposedly Cam and Dame workout together.

If Cam says sign and trade me to Portland or I sign with San Antonio then the Nets might be happy to take back Ant. If you really think Cam is significantly better than Ant the Blazers could throw in a pick or something.

Cam is restricted so Brooklyn has the power in that situation. I don't think Jerami forced his way here I think he asked and the Pistons were cool about it because he's not young and was on an expiring contract that they wouldn't have control over, so they got the value they could for him.

Seems like these last few hours before free agency and even into the first few days of July we start getting all sorts of BS reports just like the days up to the draft. "Sources" could be agents trying to pump up value, or rival teams, or just some media personality that wants to make a headline.

Ahh good point I was thinking he was an UFA. Yeah this tactic could work with Draymond but not Cam if he's a RFA. I don't think Draymond would do it as Warriors ownership probably tries to call his bluff.

LMAO what is he going to do, take the $5 million tax MLE or the vet minimum from the Clippers?

Just seems like Irving's group is trying to pressure the Mavs into giving him more years. If I'm Dallas I give him a one year deal but at the max, freaking nutcase. Even on a one year deal I'd be concerned he could go AWOL.

Call his bluff, if he wants to leave and give up ~$30 million then let him go. Call his bluff.

is it possible that Dame is watching the rest of the NBA and sees:

* how the Kawhi/PG13 pairing in LAC has failed, even with Ballmer spending like a drunken sailor

* how Durant and Harden and Kyrie have hopped from team to team always leaving damage in their wakes and no actual success

* how Chris Paul has gone from New Orleans, to LAC, to Houston, to, OKC, to Phoenix and then to Washington-->Warriors in about a month

* seeing teams dumping players in fear of the 2nd apron

and how Denver and Miami made it to the finals with one star and organically grown rosters. And has maybe decided getting traded isn't so good after all?

He's said as such in previous years. Not in direct words but implications that the big 3 stuff doesn't work.

Roundtable on ESPN's NBA free agency show talking about the Lakers signing and the Heat in no position to match some of their players leaving. Malika Andrews says "Maybe this is a sign of someone in the West, maybe the Pacific Northwest ...." Richard Jefferson immediately shuts her down. She's awful.

But she is so gorgeous.

I'm still bummed about Rachel Nichols getting run out of ESPN. She and I lived on the same floor in our freshman dorm at Northwestern and she seemed like a nice person.

Philly and Miami getting picked clean
Miami's guys... I know they just made the finals, but it seems like it's just a bunch of guys who played reasonably well alongside two legit studs in Bam and Jimmy Butler.

Gabe Vincent? Max Strus? **yawn** a couple of mid-.300 three point shooters who were in the right place at the right time. Not that they can't help their new teams, but I can't imagine Miami will miss them too much.
