lol
did no one learn anything from the damage Poeltl caused in Toronto? Non-athletic gun shy Centers are not worth lottery picks, let alone 25m.
Hartenstein is different kind of player than Peoltl. He is almost exactly what that team is missing. My opinion, of course.

They got their second guy.

So, Lebron is leaving then?
I don't know he hosts a podcast with the dude. I would think that JJ was LeBron's first choice but really I think LeBron staying depends on what Pelinka does to make the win now part of the roster better around LeBron and AD.

If I were Hartenstein it would take a vast overpay to prefer living in Oklahoma to living in New York City and playing in Madison Square Garden.
Fair point. Money talks though 9 times out of 10.

And Bronny.

So Grant, Rob, Brog and Ant are all gonna be traded? We are definitely getting Cooper Flagg.

No Jerami Grant?
My problem with Jerami is he just doesn't seem to have the fire to play tough and win. If I see that I'm certain others do. He's serviceable yes but I just don't see him as a difference maker.

Grant was pretty good as a role player when he wasn’t being asked to shoulder the offensive load. Maybe going back to that role would be good for him.

I think that the Celtics' success with basically a team of Scottie Pippens should make Grant more valuable. A plus defender AND shooter at his height? I mean, I'd love him... if we were a better team.

There's a difference between "should" and "will," sadly.

Another benefit is if they WERE all traded, I think Chauncey would quit in disgust...

It's a fit and role issue, he needs the ball more than he could get in OKC and frankly, the playoffs show his defensive issues.

But, he is young so could still get better, I suspect he will be able to be a ball handler a lot more on a rebuilding team which is what the Bulls are clearly going to be

I think the Bulls still have their picks traded elsewhere from the Vucevic acquisition? Might cause them to still try and win.

If I had $100 million I'd rather have a badass mansion in OKC then a dinky NYC apartment with crowded subways.

Sounds about right - at the very bottom of the league with Washington and Detroit.

I'd certainly put us above Washington, but certainly below Detroit.

Quote from article;

i
Portland Trail Blazers (21-61)

Total players under contract: 14
Projected salary cap space: None
Total tradeable first-round picks: Five picks, three swaps

What's next: Rebuilding teams are absolutely not supposed to be paying luxury tax bills, and, yet, that's exactly where the Trail Blazers find themselves. As of now, Portland is projected to be several million dollars into the tax, which means some of Portland's more expensive veterans could be on the move over the next few weeks. (Malcolm Brogdon's $22.5 million expiring contract could be an option.) The other storyline to watch in Portland: the next steps for former lottery picks Scoot Henderson and Shaedon Sharpe.

They are going to throw 25m a year at Hartenstein. Mark my words.
I wonder if the Knicks would be interested in this if Hartenstein bails (along with, possibly, Precious Achiuwa):

Now, I'm not saying they'd give up BOTH picks, especially given Williams's knee - in fact, he might fail a physical, but we know that Thibs isn't going to play any rookie, so they're almost certainly ready to offload one of them.
