I have a couple friends that are in the music business that have told me this. Prince did this a number of times. He was an avid basketball fan/player and the Paisley Park stories are many.

Hurley turned down the Lakers cause the job he really wants is in Portland ( I wish ) ... problem with that is Jody is a cheapskate and would never pay ANY coach 10m per year.
