Huge blunder by the Blazers

I'm going to try and break this down for you one more time man. It's not a huge blunder when every scout, every draft expert in the media and everyone else was saying that Wemby was the first tier of that draft and the second tier was Brandon Miller and Scoot only... no one that I can find and I've done the research, had Amen ahead of Scoot. This shit happens. If it was a different situation and there was an even split around the league and media about Scoot vs Amen going into the draft then you'd have something to whine about. Instead you go on and on and on ad nauseam about a pick our team made that everyone had down in ink. Every article I can find had Scoot as the de facto pick at 3 if he didn't go at 2.

This isn't a hard one to get over dude. It really isn't. Again, I could see a case for maybe half as much complaining as you currently do about this if anyone had Amen ahead of Scoot but that wasn't the case. So try and move on man, it's been pathetic. Just trying to help out.

you don’t remember when blazers were blown away by Amens workout and considering taking him?

I remember very vividly that a lot of teams were impressed by both of the Thompson twins. I do remember hearing that we would possibly consider trading down to take Amen. I don't remember anyone ever saying that Amen was going third in that draft. Also most of the rumors about us after we landed the third pick were regarding trades to keep Dame here. That's what I remember. If you want to find what I'm missing that would be cool because if there were a lot of people talking about us taking Amen third instead of Scoot or Miller then maybe some of your bellyaching about this would make sense.

This Lakers vs Rockets game has been VERY watchable

What a disaster the Suns are
When our own people attempt to go depressed-pessimism on us over JoeCro, and I’m looking at getting Toumani/Deni and 3-4 unprotected firsts out of the Dame madness, like really bruh?

this would have been fair for Luka, perhaps even an overpay in the right lens - y’all don’t know how blessed up we are

Yeah, I think the Blazers were so focused on finding a trade for the pick, that they weren't really even thinking much about the Thompson twins. When a trade failed to materialize, they quickly took Scoot.

At this point Amen appears to be a better pick than Scoot. We might still see Scoot getter better next season, depending on if we trade Simons.

Is it just me or are a lot of teams blowing it up or about to blow it up and launch into rebuilds.

So that means teams who aren’t already rebuilding (currently rebuilding teams are Blazers, Jazz, Raptors, Wiz, Nets, Hornets, Spurs, Bulls)? Who goes in that ready to blow it up bucket? Kings, Pels, Suns…maybe? Mavs for sure. Philly if they get a top pick?

Maybe even the Bucks

I'm not sure if it's more than normal. There are always a few teams that should rebuild but never fully commit to one...like the Blazers

* The Pelicans are seemingly locked into that limbo. They dumped Ingram for a 2026 first and an expiring contract. But they traded two 1st's (one a swap), Nance, and Dyson Daniels for 28 year old Dejounte Murray. They have 2nd best odds at the 1st pick in June but they have another season of 34 year old CJ starting in the back court. They may be testing the waters on a Zion trade, but they have held onto him thru too many injuries and aren't likely to get max value.

*Phoenix absolutely should rebuild....bus since they have completely mortgaged all of their 1st round picks, and all but one of their 2nd round picks for the next 7 years, there would be no rebuild power in them sucking. Worse is they are miles over the 2nd apron so they have little maneuverability & leverage if/when they dangle Durant and Booker in trade options. They are an absolute mess

* Kings probably should rebuild rather than re-tool.

they could probably extract good value for their vets, especially Sabonis & Monk. Monk is really similar to Simons in style and skills. A little better on defense; not as consistent a perimeter shooter. But better value at 19M/year

* the Clippers probably should go a different direction but they don't own their 1st round draft picks till 2030

* who knows what the fk Dallas is going to do

In the east? Milwaukee is at a crossroads. Dame's future is in doubt and there seems to be a decent chance Giannis will ask for a trade.

Miami has Adebayo and Herro, and that's a lot better pairing that Ayton and Simons. Their young front-court of Jaquez, Jovic, and Ware has a lot of upside, but it's not as good as Avdija-Camara-Clingan; it's quite a bit younger though. Miami might be the Portland of the east

Philly might be the Phoenix of the east

You know. If you would just get neutered a bunch of these homeless puppies wouldn't be a problem.
